Re: Whacha readin?

I also liked the Theory of Everything. I tried to read a Brief History of Time some years back and probably only got 1/4 of it. I prefer fiction and have been reading a lot of historical fiction lately. Right now I'm reading "The Nightengale" by Kristin Hannah. I think it's well written an...

Re: Temperature Shock

I live in a hot climate but I still use an electric blanket and I preheat my bed before I get in. When I wake in the night with leg issues (usually twitching) after stretching and walking I stand on the AC vent (mine is in the floor) until my feet are somewhat chilled and then get back in bed. It's ...

Re: Medical Marijuana

Hi Guys! I've been trying to read through the posts I've missed and as always have come across some great stuff! Peggy, I love your recipe for mj oil! I want to try that but I'm not sure how to cover up the smell... Florida still hasn't progressed much on that or any other front. I have been ...

Re: Probiotics - article illustrates difficulty with supplem

It looks like Australia is doing some research on gut bacteria and weight: http://sydney.edu.au/perkins/research/current-research/gut-microbiome.shtml In the meantime I was motivated by Ann and I am making some sauerkraut! I was a Media Specialist for 25 years and one of my primary responsibilities ...

Re: Probiotics - article illustrates difficulty with supplem

Interesting article Ann. Thanks. I do not waste my money any more by buying expensive probiotics in health food stores and agree with much of what was written. I am a bit suspicious (as is my nature) because I remember reading some time back bad press about Vox.com and their writers lack of objectiv...

Re: TENS stimulation for WED/RLS: Effective parameters

I bought my tens machine-7000 through Amazon for $25.00. It has helped me with muscle cramps and twitching. My usual placement is my low back and I use the 2 other pads on one calf, then the other. I can not tell which is positive and which is negative as there are no markings. I also bought the sep...

Re: Medical Marijuana

Hi Crazy Joe. Fatigue especially muscle fatigue can be a cause of fasciculations (twitching) It's a Catch 22. Twitching keep us from sleeping and lack of sleep may cause twitching! Fasciculations can also be a calcium and/or Magnesium deficiency or from a number of diseases. Thanks NatWest. It's goo...

Re: Medical Marijuana

I apologize for not posting regularly. A few months ago i found out my primary issue is Neuropathy, probably small fiber neuropathy (sensory) and my seconday is either RLS or Benign Fasciculations. On the topic of daily use of mm, I was recently told by a PH.D in Neurology who does research for a pr...

Re: Medical Marijuana

Hey Crazy Joe. Not be able to sleep has probably been the biggest problem I have had with my symptoms. Everyone one of the "prescribed" drugs I have taken that help me sleep have a trade off the next day. Whether it be feeling hung over, lack of energy, memory problems, etc. None of them w...

You have to show proof you are a resident in CA. At least that was what I was told when I called to set up an appointment.

I wish you had been my chemistry teacher Steve! That was a great explanation. I was told that info by someone I thought was credible. I agree Ann it's hard to know who or what to trust.

It takes about an hour to get a mm card in Cali. It's not cheap. I think it was $175 for a year.

Re: Magnesium........does it help??

I have no knowledge of the chemistry involved with Mg Malate. It is tauted to increase ATP, a molecule that provides energy to the cells. It should be taken during the day with food as the extra malic acid will increase stomach acid. I have had some improvement with Slow-Mag which is Magnesium Chlor...
