Re: Need advice
I've been taking mirapex for about 1.5 years. My iron level is 72mcg and ferritin is 87ng. I start a new med and get better sleep for about 3-5 months and then symptoms worsen again. Sleep is my goal.

I need advice. I am taking a cocktail of sorts and I see a RLS specialist at one of the RLS centers. I am young at 52 years old. My dad has Parkinson's and RLS seems to run in the family, but my case is the most severe. I need advice. What do you guys think of my regimen? I will post the times and d...

dipyramidol 75mg for RLS
Has anyone tried dipyramidol 75mg for reduction in RLS symptoms? It is a platelet reducer. New research in 2018 showed promise. I am just wondering if anyone has tried it and what the results were? Side effects? Advice?

Buprenorphine vs Methadone
All, I appreciate any input you have regarding how methadone affects mental health and how alerting it is compared to buprenorphine. I am on tramadol Er and buprenorphine currently. I also take clonazepam for mood stabilization. Buprenorphine has really helped RLS, but lately I've noticed significan...

Re: Involuntary leg movements & knee surgery
I made sure I went through the RLS Foundation's suggestions with the surgeon. Before I know all this, I had wisdom teeth out. They had to wake me up during the surgery because the doc thought I was having a seizure. They'd given me dipenhydramine. - well, that will do it! I made the surgeon go over...

Involuntary leg movements & knee surgery
Have any of you had knee surgery and been concerned about involuntary leg movements during the surgery? I am scheduled for a laproscopic surgery for a meniscus tear and generally do not have leg movements that are involuntary during the day. Mine are mostly at night. I was just wondering if I should...

Re: Tramadol vs oxycodone
I was having memory issues with lyrica and I was having to increase the dosage every couple of months for it to stay effective. I was on 300mg. It would work until about 3am and then I would be up. Oxycodone seems to be more stimulating than tramadol, but the tramadol dosage was only effective until...

Tramadol vs oxycodone
To get off lyrica, my dr switched me to mirapex and tramadol while I taper off lyrica. Tramadol is taken twice....50 mg at 6 and 50 mg right before bed. Mirapex is 25mg at 6, 25mg at 8, 25 mg right before bed. I reduced lyrica to 100 mg already. The problem was I wasn't staying asleep. After 4 hours...

Re: augmentation with lyrica?
Thanks for the responses. I am on an iron supplement and my iron levels are good currently. I agree with the previous poster. Lyrica does not work well on its own. My doctor has added 1/2 a milligram of Klonopin nightly with the 300 mg of Lyrica....it has been working. I have taken it for about a mo...
