How long is the RLS quiet after you take the glasses off? it's hard to say as I really didn't time it. I'm going to try to do some more experimenting with this over the weekend and see if I can come up with some more answers. My RLS woke me up at 3am last night so I went to the basement to watch so...

Yes, you are correct. I should have clarified that there is another piece of technology called an emitter that activates the glasses by syncing them to the TV picture and this piece plugs into the TV. So if you try to use them without the emitter (or without the TV on), they auto turn off since they...

I don't think I would advise anyone to go purchase these glasses just yet as it is all anecdotal at this point. Plus, it's always been when watching 3D content, not just wearing them. My post was initially to see if anyone else who had a 3D setup with DirecTV and had these types of glasses experienc...

lol, you can go to best buy and they have a 3D setup where you can test it out. However, I've noticed that it typically takes about 10-20 minutes before I notice the sleepiness and RLS relief. So I'm not sure if you would be able to test it there or not due to noise, people shuffling about, salesmen...

3D Glasses and RLS

Ok, who would of thought that 3D and RLS would end up in a subject line on this discussion board, but this is rather interesting and I thought I'd share my experience with you. After DirecTV rolled out 3D to their subscribers, I decided to get the glasses (active shutter) along with the other tech t...

The marinol is for RLS and it does work, at least for me. However, it is not as good as cannabis, but it does help so I don't have to take as much norco. The only problem with Marinol is you really have to time it just right so that it kicks in when you need it too cause it can take 30-60 minutes to...

follow up

Ok, I thought it was best to post a follow up to my original post. I have already gone through a major disaster with the insurance companies because the pharmacy where I was getting my meds (particularly the Norco) has students from a local university. They repeatedly reported the wrong DEA # and th...

I take Norco 10/325 3x a day and a Marinol 5mg at bedtime....so, not sure what is going to happen if they ban Norco...seems silly cause the FDA were the ones that put acetaminophen in there to begin with and I guess we are all just too stupid to read directions and monitor our daily acetaminophen in...

I'm just curious how many have tried Marinol? I, too, found that MJ would completely take care of my god awful 24x7 RLS and after trying everything in the book that we all have tried I ended up on methadone, but it just messed me up too much; so I have been stable with norco during the day and marin...

As most of you have already commented, I too, am taking pretty much the same medications that Heath was taking. I'm taking Marinol, Hydrocodone, Xanax, Klonopin, and Adderall. I have prescriptions for Lunesta, Nazonex, Astellin too. So I'm used to the 'looks' from the pharmacist and the occasional r...

jbuck, doet it work for RLS as well as PLMD? Thanks for your message anyway. Corrie yes, I have severe RLS with PLMD and it has been working great. I do also take vicodin for the really bad days or when my legs just really hurt. The pain can be unbearable at times, however, the marinol also seems t...

marinol

I suffer from severe RLS, where most drugs that I tried did not work. That includes Miripax, Requip, etc etc etc... I am taking 5mg of marinol a day (at bedtime, but typically about an hour prior to bed) and I can't tell you how great it is working for me. I tried to take methadone for my RLS and I ...
