Re: withdrawal from ropinirole

I reduced off Ropinerole by a very slow taper, starting at 5mg which was way way too high a daily dose. I was also taking Codeine Phosphate. Was definitely augmented. As I reduced the Ropinerole I slowly added Pregabalin, still taking the Codeine Phosphate. The Pregabalin was also very useful as it ...

Re: Weaning off Methadone

You are indeed the Bionic Woman. It is pleasing to see that you are now heading on a more positive pathway and have several treatments due in the very near future. This of course doesn't help you at present. Hold in there.... help is coming. So easy to say. I hope it does come very soon.

That makes sense Steve. I’ve been off the ropinerole for nearly a year.

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Decent sleep continues on my Cpap, last night I got 8 hours, in two shifts. How good is that!! Been on it for over a week now and questions arise. The machine gives data, one of which is Periodic Breathing. When I Google this it appears to be relevant to Central Sleep Apnea. The readings have been i...

Re: new member - transitioning from ropinirole to gabapentin

Day 10 off ropinerole is wonderful and to be getting a good night's sleep every other night is a blessing.
To be able to lie on the couch at this stage is very positive, well done. I hope you are successful with Horizant and hope very much that you do not have to go back to Ropinerole.

Re: Gabapentin, Lyrica and Ropinirole

As well as WED/RLS 24/7 which entails continuous medication (Codeine and Pregabalin) I take the Pregabalin quite successfully also for neuropathy in my feet and lower legs. The sleep benefit of Pregabalin 200mg x 2 daily seems to have passed me by. I have never known any sleep benefit from a sleepin...

Re: Weaning off Methadone

The incubation period for Covid can be anything from 5 - 14 days.
I doubt that your doctor would let you go the the appointment if there are any concerns.
I do hope you stay well. Good luck.

Re: new member - transitioning from ropinirole to gabapentin

It's a blessing that you had some hydrocodone to help you stop your ropinerole. Just wondering why you didn't follow your doctor's suggestion of tapering starting with reducing every other night. Did you think this would take too long? I only ask because tapering is the way I came off it down from 5...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

I am very happy to say that last night, my first on my cpap automatic machine, appears to have been very successful. It was comfortable. Data shows I had 7.7 hours of therapy but this includes an hour where I was familiarizing myself before bed. I could possibly have slept longer but was wakened by ...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Big surprise today. I got a phone call from the local agent for the Cpap provider. Agent was 20 minutes away and would it be convenient to call with my Cpap. Was it convenient !!!!! Half an hour he is in our home and we are having coffee. I had a trial with it, saw how it worked and how to read the ...

1st December 2020 Welcome today to: SallyAnn - who has had RLS on and off for 50 years. Now it is mostly on. Re: Weaning off Methadone

I always have notes with me at an appointment, with bullet points. Thing is, I have to prioritize the bullet points. And time limitation means you're trying to say what you need to on a bullet point while knowing that there's other bullet points you need to get to. i'ts nigh impossible to cover all ...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Yankiwi - Absolutely. Although there is a fine line between being firm, seeking to be taken seriously - and risk being considered 'difficult'. Still, we must push. As for getting test results, I only get a telephone call if there is a problem. To find out results for our own information it takes a p...
