Re: trying no medication at all
If you are getting 8 hours good solid sleep that can only be good. I can't see that you'd be sleep deprived. I guess we all dealt with RLS 'old style' before we found the medication route. To go back to no RLS medications is a big step. It involves weaning off your current medications and not all at...

Re: Kratom questions
I take 1 level teasp of Kratom Red Borneo as a dose. Sometimes one before bed and often one during the night as well. This helps with comfort but would need higher doses for it to help with sleep. I also make sure there are nights that I don’t take it to avoid tolerance. I add a little boiling water...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again
I am very happy to say that today I received a telephone call from the Respiratory Nurse at the hospital to which I have been referred and which has the 3 year waiting list for cpap assessment. I have been on the list about 4 months and it is one month since my daughter in law intervened. The nurse ...

Re: need RLS doc
I would suggest that you read up on our Augmentation Forum. See how others have coped coming off a dopamine agonist i.e. ropinerole. As you read and learn you will be in a better position to understand and to ask questions when you do see a doctor.

Re: Augmentation
Well done on cutting down your pramipexole. It was the right thing to do and you did so well. When coming off the last of your pramipexole you are likely to find your RLS symptoms go into overdrive. Sleep is likely to become difficult again because the gabapentin won't be enough to deal with this 'o...

Re: My visit with Dr. Rye
SleepyBhamster - I haven't used a sleeping pill for over 6 months. I do have a supply just in case the situation should ever change but don't use them, even on the nights when I'm getting only 2 or 3 hours sleep. As an aside - I am awaiting assessment for treatment of moderate sleep apnea and the Co...

Re: My visit with Dr. Rye
Referring to Steve's experience of an absence with Ambien. Last December I was working on Election Day which entailed an early start of 6am. I experienced an absence of 90 minutes from 7 - 8.30am but had clearly been working during that time. I came to at 8.30am in a state of minor confusion i.e. no...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again
I’m happy to say that J (my daughter in law) has spoken with the Respiratory Consultant in her hospital who was previously the Senior RC in the hospital to which I have been referred (Post Code allocation) and which has the 3 year waiting list. J says he was delightful to speak with. He now has a c...
