Re: acupressure

Interesting Beth. I have looked at these weighted blankets and know that the thought of it does not repel me in the way that, for example, the idea of compression stockings would repel me. I do have a coverlet throw in one of my bedrooms which is of very heavy weight, quadruple layered fabric which ...

Re: Newbie

For a non sufferer doctors may consider 20 to be adequate. Please have your Ferritin Serum checked and keep your ...

Re: Biggest fear

You are a bit between a rock and a hard place. You need to exercise but it affects your pain.
Would you consider backing off on the exercise and see if your pain eases. If it does then restart your exercise a little more gently and increase ever so gradually.

Re: Biggest fear

Having such a good reason to lose weight is quite the incentive. I really need to lose weight also. Do you find there is a particular time where you would overeat. Mine is during the night when I go grazing. The light on the fridge is on off on off .... you’d think I was performing on stage. Good lu...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

I’m happy to say that J (my daughter in law) has spoken with the Respiratory Consultant in her hospital who was previously the Senior RC in the hospital to which I have been referred (Post Code allocation) and which has the 3 year waiting list. J says he was delightful to speak with. He now has a co...

Re: Need advice

legsbestill has mentioned, and I agree, that an increase in opioids may be needed to help you find some sleep. However, It is worth being aware that in a few cases an opioid can be alerting and ironically adversely affect the ability to sleep. It is maddeningly unfortunate that we cannot always be 1...

You’d think, wouldn’t you.
It’s managing to get the attention of whoever sorts the waiting list that is a problem.

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

My Dr is now arranging appointments for flu vaccinations but the dedicated phone line is constantly engaged. In the last two days I've phoned 19 times!!
In the ten years that I've had a flu vaccination I've never had a sore arm. I've been very fortunate.

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

It was a helluva clatter as I went down at 3am and my husband upstairs didn’t hear a thing, didn’t waken. Quite funny because just where the dishwasher is sited is a confined area and there wasn’t much space left when I was couped between it and the facing cupboard. I was like an upended turtle. Not...
