And makes us wonder where we would be, and how we would be, if we were not able to access info on the internet and a site such as this.

I pity those sufferers who are not fore-armed when going to an uneducated doc.

Educating another doc !!!

Hi folks. I go on holiday in about 10 days time and my prescription is due during that time, so I rang my medical practice to get an 'early' prescription. No problem so far. I asked the receptionist - would you ask doc to consider prescribing some extra codeine to allow for plane flights and long tr...

Hi Moonlight, I can't answer your questions, but I am thinking of you and I'm sorry you are so worried at the moment.

As Views has said, you will get good advice very soon.

Scarlett, you have said exactly what I meant.

Yes, Views, there is obviously a big psychological factor going on here.

I definitely feel more in control by actually having a supply should I wish to use the supply, but I choose not to use it.

Thanks folks.

Yes, the experimentation process is so crappy. All the uncertainty, and the time it takes to find out if it works/if it doesn't work/ not sure???

Thanks everyone. I smoked about 10 - 12 a day. Today I could very easily have one, but didn't. There is a pack in my car, a pack in the house, and a pack in the garage. I have tried before the finishing of the pack and saying No More. This time I have kept them about, thinking if I was desperate the...

Good luck with your doc, Charlene. I am lucky I have no real pain, just crawlies and a sometimes dragging feeling. Apart from my requip, Ambien gets me to sleep and I get about 5 - 6 hours total on a good night. 1 Ambien, 2 to 3 hours sleep, another Ambien, another 2 to 3 hours sleep. Fortunately it...

Nadia, you have my sympathy. In the springtime I had a dreadful cold and didn't take anything, rubbed Vick mentholatum under my nose to help me breathe, which didn't really work. In the end I gave in and used Vicks Sinex spray to clear the head enough to sleep. Good luck and yeah, hope it doesn't 't...

Going Public

Okay, I'm going public!!! I AM/WAS a smoker, about ten a day. Over the last few weeks I was really disgusted with myself. Well... I always knew it was disgusting... gave it up once a couple of years ago for about a month. But enjoyed it. That is until these last few weeks. Got to wonder, why did I l...

Charlene, good luck, I would not be so brave as to try and reduce without the help of an 'alternative'.
Best wishes my friend.

Hmmm.... makes me think. My headaches and migraines have ceased for a few years now. I put it down to a change of work, but on reflection, that was when I re-married, and hubby and stepson don't like cola, so I just didn't bother buying it in. I didn't drink as much coffee as previously as they were...

Mostly on the right. Lying on the affected side helps somewhat.

Hi Coffee, I assume that you mean 6 x .25 mg requip tablets nightly, which equals 1.5mg at night. I use 2mg requip spread throughout the day, i.e. ( 4 x .5 mg) The .5mg can easily be cut in half, making .25mg. At night I use .5mg and occasionally another .25mg during the night. I try to use less tha...
