Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
Referring to your post of 11 Sept I see that you changed the dosages of several of your medications at the one time. Speaking only from my own experience, does this not make it complicated to figure out which change is caused by which medication adjustment because we know that meds don't always perf...

Re: Hello from newbie in Rugby
First of all you are taking Nytol. This is actually diphenhydramine which is the same as Benadryl...... An absolute no no when it comes to RLS. It is a big aggravation for RLS and is on our list of things to be avoided. Your ropinerole dose is 1mg and this is what out RLS experts would consider to b...

Have you tried a netti pot. I haven't myself but have several friends who swear by them. They cost very little and are available from Amazon.

Re: What To Do?
I very successfully weaned off ropinerole, not pramipexole but it is a similar drug. I did it very slowly, over 10 months, and supplemented with Codeine and Pregabalin..

Re: Can a treatment plan revolve around opioids?
I was taking 5mg spread over 24 hours. I had been on ropinerole for many years, about 16 years, starting when the daily dose of 4mg as indicated by the manufacturer was acceptable. Nowadays the expert RLS consultants consider that 1mg is tops to try and avoid augmentation. With great trepidation I w...

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
Don't worry about over complicating things in your post..... You are just thinking aloud. Good luck with finding what level will work for you. Again.... If it was me..... I'd first work with one med at a time to see how it could work for me. Do remember, I am just a sufferer like yourself albeit wit...

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
You say I take 37.5mg twice for 75mg total ... and yes it's still not quite enough Can you clarify the above. Re: Need advice
It might be helpful to try and increase your ferritin. It could do with being higher. Also have you ever tried reducing your mirapex. With movement in your shoulders and arms it does sound like DA (mirapex) augmentation. How can you be sure that augmentation of Mirapex is not the issue? It is very c...
