Medscape training module

I happened across a training module on Medscape. You have to register to get in, but I think I checked "Other" for the type of medical professional I was  . It is on how to diagnose and treat RLS and is designed for all medical staff! All in all, it had some very good information. It was prese...

Come and join us

Jan and I have gotten Yahoo Messenger set up and working and have sent our first IMs! I missed Keepingfaith twice, but we sent messages to each other that were there when we got back. It would be great if other people would set it up. With over 400 members, I bet there are least three or four of us ...

Connection

Hi Lifejoy, as I understand it they think some people are misdiagnosed with ADD as children when they really have RLS. The RLS makes them restless and move around a lot. As an adult, I personally often have ADD-like symptoms because my cognitive function is sleep-impaired. But, I don't have ADD. I'm...

Names

Not sure, Jan. Do you have something already set up called Instant Messenger? Hope you saw the message I posted at the same time you posted this. I'm set up in Yahoo and Keepingstep and I have exchanged our first message. If you don't want people to know you are online at times, you can sign in as i...

Yahoo it is

Yahoo works fine for me. Is everyone OK choosing that? If so, try the link previously posted. If it doesn't work, simply do an Internet search for Yahoo messenger and you'll find a link to the site. It's probably easy to find at yahoo.com, too. The advantage of any instant messenger is that it's eas...

Instant messaging

Instant messengers are small programs that you install on your computer. Many of them are free. You register with the program and create a user name. You then tell other people you know what your user name is. When you log onto the Internet, anyone with your user name in their program who also belon...

Messenger?

Hey, guys, some other people on another board have given each other their instant messenger names so it's easier to see who's online when someone wants to chat. You'd have to decide what messenger to use, but that might work well.

Me, too

Hi Bosslady - you know, I was at first surprised, too. The first forum I belonged to has 10,000 members and it's ALWAYS civil. When I joined a stained glass forum last year, I was shocked at how rude many people were - extremely rude! Much worse than this thread by far. Threads routinely get expunge...

American Red Cross

Hi Becat, I just went to the Red Cross site to see what they had to say about medications and donating. "Medications In almost all cases, medications will not disqualify you as a blood donor. Your eligibility will be based on the reason that the medication was prescribed. As long as the condition is...

Re: Observations 2

(A)BECAUSE I AM LOOKING FOR SUPPORT NOT A 1 UP **** FEST It sounds to me that this is important to you and is frustrating. Since it is so important and this forum does not meet your needs, there are several other online discussion groups that might. Try Yahoo groups - there are three groups there. ...

Going for it

[This truly is relevant to RLS although it may not at first seem to be!] My partner has celiac disease. You may have heard of it recently; it's been in the news more and more often. 15 years ago, the medical community thought that it occurred in 1 in 5000 people. 8 years or so ago, they thought it w...

Easy to do this

Lyndarae, I'm glad to do it and happy I decided to go at the last minute. Serendipity is always fascinating. I'm also gratified that Jumpy is willing to entrust his careful research to a newcomer should the need arise, no matter how much experience I may have with PowerPoint and audiences! It's alwa...

Huh?

Nadia, thanks for moving that to this thread, as I didn't read the thread in which this was posted. Jumpy, I design, develop, and deliver training, so should be able to handle the presentation, and I will be at the conference. If there is a need of some kind, Jumpy, please let me know. Hopefully, al...

Brain freeze

Nadia, the brain freeze part made me laugh. . .well, of course, not at you but with you  . I don't mind when my sweetie and I play "fill-in-the-blank," chrades, or brain freeze, but when the client starts offering words, it's truly problematic! Especially since what I'm supposed to do for them...
