Re: Greetings from SBROOK in Ottawa Canada

I wonder if your serum ferritin or blood iron levels improved in some way. Whatever, so happy to hear!

Re: Augmentation or opioid withdrawal?

There is a lot of hearsay out there to suggest that kratom can be very helpful when withdrawing from an opioid. I think it is. I have used it the last two times - and I'd say that it dulls the parathesias so that you can actually get some sleep. Without it, I get almost none. With it, I get between...

Re: saying hello

Hey - I was thinking of you the other day. We are finally back in LA - hopefully the last move for at least another year, lol. I guess I'd echo your experience. I am functional most times, but rarely rested and sometimes still crappy. Not sure it gets better than that for some of us. I keep trying, ...

Re: Earlier Onset While Driving Requiring Early Oxycodone Dosage

I cannot comment about the Oxy - I don't use it. I typically use methadone - have tried shorter acting drugs and find that I do not get enough coverage and have to take them too frequently. My guess is that an ER Oxy would be better based on my experience. With methadone - and its very long half lif...

Re: Augmentation or opioid withdrawal?

Long ago I tried an opioid forum - they had NO help for me at all because they take so much more than we do. They basically said they had no idea, how lucky you are to only take that much, good luck and goodbye, lol. I've done it before several times - I usually do it more quickly because I am conce...

Re: Augmentation or opioid withdrawal?

Yep - same here - about 6 weeks. I've been here at 5 mg for about 2 weeks now. This didn't start until the end of week 1, beginning of week 2. The last time I did this, I likely didn't stay at 5 mg so long, so missed this. Not sure which is better - this isn't full out withdrawal, but am I delaying ...

Re: Augmentation or opioid withdrawal?

Today it's more clear. The symptoms are in my arm now - started at 1 PM. No RLS - just the sort of painful feeling in my arm. In the past, the withdrawal symptoms have been different in that they are more painful - but my RLS is electrical, not painful, so not sure how someone with painful RLS would...

Augmentation or opioid withdrawal?

I decided to take a 2 month break from methadone; I actually would prefer to switch to a short acting opioid and withdraw from that, but that is out of the question at this time. So, I went from 20 mg to 15 to 10 to 5 over the last 6 weeks; am using pramipexole to take up the slack. I have been at 5...

Re: Methadone and Gabapentin no longer working well

This is very odd. My poor husband can't sleep tonight because of his legs. He is having pain. First it was on the back side of his thighs, now in the back side of the calves. He is sitting in bed, with knees bent, less moving from side to side not together. He says it makes the whole body feel bett...

Re: Changing my diet may have solved my RLS

Thanks so much for clarifying that, Rustsmith. I wonder why my PC insists that the best way to absorb the most iron is to take it every other day. Are their different expert opinions on this? I've learned that none of us are immune to incorrect info. Even those who would seem science-based, such as...

Re: Methadone and Gabapentin no longer working well

This has been a strange few days. My husband is sick with shingles. He is very miserable. At times he has been pacing. I realized something, that I live day to day maybe more than some people. I won't know when I will no longer be able to sleep with my current meds. It will just happen. Of course n...
