Re: Paradoxical reaction on gabapentin?

I hope you get some resolution, soon, leggo. I totally understand that feeling of being in the middle of several docs and no one sure what is happening, but clearly someone is going on. The MS possibility would be scary to anyone.

Indeed! I am thrilled with my 45-55% decrease - I can only imagine a 95% one!

Re: Extreme compression DIY

I haven't had success with trigger point release. In fact, about half the time after a good massage that included some trigger point release, I get RLS that night! I'm not giving up massage, however, because it does leave me feeling like all my muscles and nerves are back in harmony with each other...

Re: new ideas for RLS

So glad that your RLS is much lower. And, wow - no surgery! I was watching a doctor's video a few weeks ago (I have been in PT twice in the last few months myself) and he was talking about how many of us do not walk correctly.

Re: Has anyone tried OSKA Pulse?

One of the problems - seems to me - is that placement of the electrodes is likely key, as well as the settings. But, since no one studies it, who knows?

Welcome, Cat. I would guess that Steve's suggestion may be the best way to go. Doctors often know less than we do, unfortunately, about this. I went to several doctors until I could find one who would do the work needed to learn about it and then follow an approach that worked.

Re: Has anyone tried OSKA Pulse?

It claims to be FDA approved. I would love to hear from folks who have tried it. It is against the rules to include a website, so If you don't know what it is, you will have to google it. thanks in advance joe Joe - do you consider your RLS to be painful? Mine is not - it is electrical, annoying, a...

Yup. That is what I describe as the anxiety component. It takes over just about ALL other feelings and I am overwhelmed with a need to MAKE. IT. STOP.

Re: Describe your RLS symptoms

Like Betty, in the evening mine starts as a warning which tells me to get up, start walking or it will get worse and not go away with walking. But unlike most rls sufferers, mine is pain, not electrical (which I think would be worse). It starts as just a low sensation but can ramp up to about 8 on ...

Stainless, do you know if they have a program - the company, that is - that provides it at a lower cost? I cannot think of what that is called, but some companies provide lower cost meds to people who need them and cannot afford them. Here - https://www.neupro.com/parkinsons-disease/neupro-savings-c...

Re: I'm tired of fighting

I do not believe that for some of us that there is a magic bullet. I also don't believe that there is nothing we can do. Am I where I'd prefer to be? Not at all. Am I MUCH better than I was? Oh, yes! Are opioids perfect? Nope. But, over the years, between opioids, iron infusions, alternative such as...

...I was speaking with my friend and ask her to come up with a better nickname for the three L's. LIFE LONG LEARNER I am a happy student now because this does perfectly describe me. I cannot wait to tell my sister my new acronym. I think that's the correct word. This may be a teachable moment I wil...
