I always check my meds when I get them renewed. Several times I have called the Pharmacy to question why the pills are different looking. So far it was due to them using a different vendor. Never just take a med if it looks different than the ones you have been taking! It only takes a minute to call...

Please take the advice of those posting to you, read and educate yourself about RLS. Meds to take, Meds NOT to take! I can NOT stress enough how important it is to read ALL you can about RLS and be educated BEFORE you see a DR, because so many of us have discovered that most (not all) Dr's seem to k...

I wonder if its the food, are if by getting up and moving helps your rls? If my rls is going strong there would be no way I could sit and eat, now I could and have stood up to eat something late at night. Just like I have to stand up and watch TV at times. To the person who eats lots of Ice Cream, y...

I too have Primary RLS(inherited). Starting as a child and totally becoming a nightly happening at age 27. I am now 61 and have had very very few nights without RLS. Been happily married for 37 yrs. Of course thru those years I have had life problems and will admitt that stress does make my RLS wors...

This country has a real problem when we will support the salaries of major sports players while we let our young children and our elderly people go without the basic needs in life. I "think" I am beginning to see a very small turn around happening in America lately, I just hope and pray that will co...

I have been taking pain meds for my rls for 8 yrs now. Started out with Hydrocodone and now rotate hydro and Ultram(tramadol). With my Drs I had to sign a form saying I would NOT go to other Drs seeking pain meds, plus I am given only 3 month refills(30 pills a month) and then I must go back into th...

I tried the stockings years ago and they did not help my creepy crawlies at all. I have just the standard RLS, creepy crawlies in legs to the point that I absolutely have to get up and walk. I have had this nightly for over 34 yrs, as with most RLSers for years I could not find a Dr that knew what t...

I have been taking Tramadol/Ultram for almost 2 yrs, my rls is mainly at night, and so I only take the med BEFORE I know the rls will kick in. I dont ever take it during the day unless I feel an rls attack coming on, which is rare for daytime. Do you have rls 24 hrs aday? Is that why you are taking ...

I also take Claritin allergy med, except I use the generic brand at Walmart, it has the same ingredients that Claritin has and is much cheaper. I have been taking it for years with NO affects on my RLS. If your RLS only flares when you are using antihistimes or drinking tea, I agree with Mark it mig...

Hi MZ and welcome. I have just become diabetic (type 2) about a year ago. I have never taken the parkinson meds, so can't offer any advice on increase in blood sugar and requip. I think the only way to make sure how its affecting your body would be to stop taking it and see if your blood sugar retur...

Jocinda, I noticed in your post that you are taking Paxil. Are you aware that Paxil can and usually does make rls worse? There are other antidepressants that might work better for your rls, such as wellbutrin. You will find this info listed under meds that can worsen RLS. You might wish to print out...

Have had rls all my life. "growing pains" as child, but I don't remember it being pain, just the odd feeling in legs, Dr called it "growing pains". In all the years of rls I have never had pain with my rls. Now at almost 62 I have some leg pain at times, but I don't think its due to my rls, simply b...
