Re: Just Joined - October 2013

Monday, 14 October Welcome to Tynk, who is looking for more information and support on how to live with RLS. And, welcome to LucyBrown, who's just discovered the TENS is helping and wants to share about it while also learning about other people's experiences with drug therapies. If you'd like, start...

I don't know what state you're in, but have you tried medical marijuana?

Re: Taking 8 meds just for RLS and related insomnia

Do you take all of those in one 24-hour period? I wrote a brief blurb about each of your medications below so I could keep them all straight. It seems as if your doctor just threw all of the possible treatments for RLS/WED at you at once. I'm shocked and horrified that s/he would do that. Don't get ...

Re: Welcome New Members - September 2013

Tuesday 24 September Welcome to Pandagirl, who has just been diagnosed after 3 years of struggling. Welcome to Chewie, who is weaning off of a DA onto Horizant. We have a lot of members who can speak to weaning off of DAs, please look around and ask questions. Welcome to rlsishell, who is struggling...

Re: WED/RLS and endometrial ablation

If you belong to an HMO, or have a list of approved doctors, what I did is I made a list of all the possible doctors and then just went through the list until I found one I liked.

Pam, don't forget that people whose WED is well-treated don't post on this website! Most people find a treatment plan that works for them. :-)

Re: Can't take Lamictal anymore

I have taken 100 mg Gabapentin the past three nights and the grogginess is awful! Although it *is* nice to fall asleep at a decent hour. Opiates are looking better at this point.

Oh, that's awful!!

Re: Can't take Lamictal anymore

That is an interesting insight. So maybe it is a reflection that I'm utterly overwhelmed with life right now and I'd like to drop everything and do something else. Sort of the grown up version of dropping out of school to roam around Europe. Except I'd be dropping out of school to get a job. LOL Or ...

Re: Can't take Lamictal anymore

I think this lack of sleep has made me lose my mind. I just applied for a full-time position (with the school district I used to teach at) for a Data Researcher position. It is a job I've always wanted to do, but I'm registered for classes, and have a 50% position this semester. The deadline was tod...

It sounds like she didn't read your message carefully and thought you were saying you took all of them as needed, instead of just the magnesium. Once she figured it out she was supportive of you continuing.

Re: Can't take Lamictal anymore

No kidding. Most of the students are Stats Ph.D students and there are only about 4 or 5 of us from other departments, so I am really in over my head. I am going to talk to the professor on Tuesday and see if I can get my drop back-dated.
