I was quite suprised to learn(at our last RLS) meeting that kids get RLS.
I wonder if there is a environmental aspect to it.

Doesn't it almost make you feel giddy when you sleep all night and it was good sleep?
I've been doing really well for about 1-2 years and have energy to do stuff. People without RLS really don't appreciate what a good night sleep really means to us. I thank God every morning.

Well, when i'm sleepy but can't just go to bed i take a shot or half of shot of Niquil. It seems to work for me. Requip is one of the Parkinson's meds. I had no luck with it or any of the Parkinson's meds.

I have severe GERD but my entire family on both side suffers with it too.
I take Prilosec,RX and once in awhile i need a Zantac for the severe times.

During my last crisis they tried Neurotin and it didn't do a thing for me.
This was in addition to my other meds.
My daughter takes it and it seems to work for her.

Sugbrenda, I do know what your mean. My mom had the jerks. We have three generations that have RLS. My sick sense of humor kicked in when I read your thread. I know a few "big Jerks" that give me a pain in the butt. Charlene, thanks for asking. I'm on 1 mg of Requip at night. Sometimes I will take ...

One thing to consider is that many people have itching when taking narcotics. I don't mean an allergic reaction, rash itch but just plain itching is a side-effect for some people. Just a thought.... I must be in this super small percentile of people who when I take enough and do get an itch, find i...

I have a really set time where i need to go to bed and get up. If i don't follow the "rules" i feel terrible. They say it's jet lag. Even the 1 hour change in spring and fall has a impact on me and can take weeks to get straight. Did your Dr say you have to take your antidepressant in the pm? Does i...
