Re: Follow-up question regarding Requip discontinuance
I hope you didn't take my response the wrong way. What I meant was that it would be refreshing to have my doctor place enough trust in me to allow me to know when to take the appropriate type of med, depending on the symptom. I am on day 7 of discontinuation withdrawal from being on a DA for over 5 ...

Re: Follow-up question regarding Requip discontinuance
I think that has merit, if my doctor agrees.

Hi Tracy, thanks for the input. I've tried Lyrica without much success.

Re: Augmentation
Thanks, Corrie. My augmentation actually began during the last month of taking Mirapex (.5 mg every evening). I was on this dose for about 4.5 years with no other meds and as long as I took the Mirapex before 7pm each night I usually had no problems sleeping. When I started to augment my doctor at t...

Follow-up question regarding Requip discontinuance
I recently posted a question about my discontinuance of Requip XL and the increased RLS-WED symptoms. I have been taking hydrocodone (7.5 mg) at 6pm and (10 mg) at 10pm nightly with success prior to my augmentation and Requip subsequent discontinuance. My question is this: in order to alleviate the ...

Re: The tens units
I've used one. It feels good while it's turned on but the RLS symptoms returned as soon as I turned off the machine. I likened it to a short recess from the symptoms.

Re: Requip XL discontinuation withdrawal
Thank you for the reply. My doctor gave me an increased amount of the hydrocodone and I hope itwill cover the length of withdrawal time but it only will if my symptoms start to subside sometime in the next week. I have found that 12.5 - 15 mg of the hydrocodone is sufficient to control about 80% of ...

Requip XL discontinuation withdrawal
Can anyone help me with understanding how long discontinuation withdrawal should normally last when stoping Requip XL cold turkey? I was taking Mirapex .5 mg every night for about 5 years but my previous doctor switched me to 12 mg of Requip XL daily (4 in the morning & 8 at night) when augmenta...

Re: Augmentation
Thank you for the replies. I agree that te Requip is too high. It is Requip XL (extended release) but I understand your point. I would like to get away from the Requip completely and once it is out of my system, reintroduce a much lower dose of Mirapex which worked well years before. I was on .5 mg ...

Augmentation
Has anyone experienced RlS augmentation to the point where the RLS symptoms (mostly the aches and pains similar to the feeling of growing pains) begin in the late morning and don't stop until you fall asleep (hopefully) in the evening? I've been on virtually every type of approved and non-approved R...
