Re: Gabapentin post cancer op

I'm currently on 10 mg oxy a day and recovering from my 2nd cancer operation (lobectomy). It's not quite enough but Doc won't go higher dose. He suggested I go on Requip. I believe I tried that before without result. Any thoughts? I don't want to stop the 10mg oxy. I hope the recovery is going well...

Re: New-Asked to post about treatments

I'm in a state of having too many directions to turn to but not in the direction where I should be heading heading yet. I've met with my primary who I've seen the most over time but divided up for a few months while he was on leave and I was in a different hosp for Pulmonary emboli. Back now to my ...

Re: Head roll

I really thought I would be getting more replies. Oh well. It is what it is. I guess I will have to find another way. This will probably be my last post. I hear a lot of people describing their RLS symptoms as a creeping type feeling. That is not what happens to me. My symptoms are like my entire b...

Re: Sorbolene Lotion experience that seems to have worked

I cannot stand ANYTHING to touch my legs - it immediately sets off symptoms. No leggings, no stockings, or my husband's body/hands. Nor can I stand dry skin. I can feel the dry skin, pulling and prickling as I try to go to sleep and that makes the sensations start. Since I was a teen, I've hydrated ...

Re: Head roll

Hi Tim63 - thank you for sharing your story. I have not heard of that related to WED/RLS. When I was a toddler through early school age, I moved all over the bed. I'd wake up with my head where my feet should be, and so on. No adult would sleep with me. Covers never stayed on the bed. That stopped w...

Re: Augmentation tied to stroke ?

Ann, in one of the posts on here you talk about having a hard time not forgiving yourself for being on a DA for so long. Maybe it will make you feel better if you know that the horrific early experiences you had were what convinced me to stay far away from the DA's. I can't even tell you how many d...

Re: New-Asked to post about treatments

There are a few people here who get their WED/RLS treated at pain clinics. Squirming Susan was one of them - unsure if they still do or not. And some of the Quality Care docs will work with your PCP or other doctor - that is likely the best of all worlds IF your doc will work with the Quality Care d...

I couldn't get it prescribed, either.

Re: New device: NXT 100 ToMAC

Hi all, Do you know if your insurance pays for this device, will they cut your medication back? Will they continue to pay for both? I would love to try and put in for this with my doctor but if it doesn't work would hate to lose my medications! Also, has anyone tried the TheraPulse that is similar ...

Re: Anyone Heard of Nedria Tomac Therapy?

I was in the study - for a short time. It doesn't really work with severe symptoms, so I washed out. I wish I could say positive things, but my symptoms are barely covered by both methadone and pramipexole, at a dose that is pretty high.

Re: A Study

It's been about a year - I wonder how these studies have gone? I looked up the apomorphine one and it says it isn't yet recruiting, but that cannot be, can it? Hmmmm. I found a couple other ones that are interesting, though. https://ctv.veeva.com/study/gut-microbiota-and-bacterial-translocation-in-r...

Re: Struggling

Hi Smileycarr79 - welcome to the board. I was about your age when everything started to spin out of control with me and the WED/RLS. I am so sorry that you are in this position. I taught, for a while, also, and I know how hard it is when you are in such a place. Have you heard of augmentation? I wou...

Re: What Relationships?

Ann, what an awful year you've had. It is encouraging that you are almost there and I wish so much that this progress continues. How on earth did you cope. Steve, I can hardly believe that it is 4 years since that awful time when you were so badly treated. I wish you well as the anniversary comes a...

Re: Handheld Percussion Massage Gun

My whole family has symptoms primarily in our thighs - we often use the "karate chop" method of beating on the muscles with our hands. Seems that this would do that much more effectively.

Re: Delayed Sleep Phase: RLS, Opioides, prior DAs

Hi tea4one - I haven't seen anything about it. I have no idea if I actually have delayed sleep phase or if something about WED/RLS makes it seem this way. Whichever it is, that has been my life for as long as I can remember. From reading under the covers in grade school to a bedtime of 5 AM in colle...
