I agree with ViewAskew, you could be augmenting on the Mirapex. I also cannot take any of the DA's because of that very reason, I get worse with these drugs. No Requip, Mirapex, or Sinemet for me. I have recently found great relief with Lyrica. My physician substituted that for Neurontin since I had...

Susie, As I sit here and read your physicians response I'm thinking is this guy for real? Unless you have another sleep disorder diagnosis, such as sleep apnea, the CPAP mask will have no effect on RLS. Do you have a copy of Mayo Clinics Algorhythm for RLS to take w/ you to your appt? I'm glad to hea...

D4, I'd like to know what medication regimen Dr Silber currently has you on. I suffer from severe RLS and PLMD and am currently on Lyrica,Xanax, and Norco. This combo seems to be working for now. I can't take any of the DA's because I augment on them.I'm very excited to finally see a physician that i...

I live in Michigan and going to Mayo Clinic in Minn. next month. The head of the movement disorder/sleep clinic is Dr. M. Silber. He also helped write Mayo clinics algorhythm for RLS. Anyone w/ RLS should have a copy of this so their primary physician has a guideline for prescription writing. Since ...

I have been on Lyrica now for over a month. This medication replaced Neurontin 600mg(4) at bedtime. I had been on Neurontin for 11 yrs, so it either had just stopped working or my RLS worsened. My neuro recently increased my Lyrica 150 mg 3x/day. This medication has not only helped my RLS, but I con...

Maria, I'm doubtful Tramadol will cover you enough after being on Methadone.

Yes, Neurontin is a great drug for RLS. It helped me for 11 yrs. and max dose @ times of 3600mgs. However, I have recently been switched to Lyrica 150 mg 3 times a day. My insomnia and RLS are under control. I'm very happy to read that another RLS patient is getting RELIEF. Only us sufferers can tru...

I saw the new Neurologist today @ Henry Ford Hospital in Bloomfield Hills,Mi. She was very knowledgable about M.S. but she said she was not a movement disorder specialist for RLS.She did not think I had M.S. but, my MRI(brain)had some increased white plaque areas that I did not have 5 yrs ago. So no...
