Re: Falling Asleep at Wheel Solutions
Thanks again, Majoraward I just hope they work for you! Tip about wearing them. After you have learned how to use it - turn device on only after you put it on your ear and have it set as you would like it on your ear or it will scream at you - - large portion of device goes to back of ear - these w...

Re: Feeling Very Discouraged Tonight
I just wanted everyone to know that for a couple of weeks now, I am sleeping better. I'm also sleeping in the recliner, which seems to help for other reasons. My arthritis. I used to wish for success, wealth, and fame but anymore a good nights sleep beats them all. As far as the recliner goes they ...

Re: In Through the Out Door
I just watched my namesake. The movie A Christmas Story. It is where I picked up the name majoraward because the dad in the movie won "a majoraward".
We love that movie but with being tired and having watched it so many times I kept falling asleep

Re: In Through the Out Door
Yippi! I think I found a way to fix my sleep up, at least for awhile. My doctor when he gave me the last Mirapex prescription said on the bottle to take 1 to 3 at night. They are .25mg. I have been taking 2 and last night I tried 3. My Zeo data doesn't look that good but I slept for over 2 hours at ...

Re: Hyperalertness - Research Study
no, no, do enquire about it! for two reasons, one is that these studies need more of us who are severe, other is maybe we can combine clips of your film and mine. I am looking to see if there is any funding available for making a documentary, it's a long shot. They had no problem that I was in Cana...

Re: In Through the Out Door
I am very reluctant to try Neupro because I've always augmented with each DA. Mirapex made me suicidal when I took it intermittently (to avoid augmentation), so that also makes me concerned (among about 15 other side effects!). Darth Vader: "Impressive. Most impressive. Obi-Wan has taught you ...

Re: Kale
Green leafy veggies usually have iron in them. My SIL swears her WED (RLS) is under control just by taking one iron tablet a day. Isn't it wonderful that simple things like this can work for many people? The doc actually does have me take an iron tablet a day with orange juice, says it helps absorp...

Re: oxcarbazepine???
Oh - it may not be chemically the same! It's just in the same class. It might work very differently. I don't know at all. Sorry for scaring you . The class thing is a little strange. Requip and Mirapex is in the same class but Requip makes my RLS much worse and it changes my personality but Mirapex...

Kale
Okay, so my wife was in a grocery store checkout line today and this lady next to her had a whole bunch of kale, and not much else, in her grocery cart. She tells my wife that it is the only thing that keeps her restless leg syndrome away. She eats loads of it. I googled kale and RLS together and pe...

Re: In Through the Out Door
Yes, I've tried them all . Looooooong story, not different outcome than most of us here who are in the more severe cases. You do what you can, then do some more . So I guess that means I have to read all 8,800+ of your posts to know what you have been taking I'll be madder than a mad hatter after a...

Re: In Through the Out Door
I usually only take methadone - 20 to 25 mg spread out through the day. Sometimes I take trazedone to help with sleep. It makes me even more groggy, however, so I don't use it regularly. You're lucky it doesn't wire you! It's really annoying to be wide awake as the clock ticks later and later! I'm ...

Re: In Through the Out Door
For what it's worth, methadone is both great and not-so-great for me. In the great column is that it controls my symptoms 65-100% of the time. Many days it's 100%. Some days it's less, usually related to hormones, but sometimes who knows why. I never have a night, however, where I don't get at leas...

If you click on that and search for "codeine" you get a good many possibilities that come up. Not sure where you live but if it is not legal to purchase it in the United States and you buy it through the mail and they send it to you it is illegal as in the feds may be there when they deli...

Re: In Through the Out Door
I have a problem with the medication doing two conflicting things for my sleep. I take opiods and it helps with my rls which should help me get better sleep but instead my body is quieter but my mind is more awake. This is because my meds are hyping up my brain--so the worse my rls is the more meds...
