Ambien is a bizarre drug, IMO. I took an Ambien CR last night and had a bit of a psychotic episode. My sudoko puzzle came to life, and I couldn't solve it, but I could carry on a bizarre conversation with my daughter. I did get a good night's sleep, once I decided that I really should lie down and c...

Well, I've been on the Requip almost 2 weeks. It works great, but the side effects are a bit much. I get a little bit of nausea, unless I eat a big dinner and my stomach is on the touchy side already - then I really turn green. So I get a bit of nausea a headache. But the really weird thing is that ...

Hey Susan, I was wondering how the "science project" was going with you. Especially concerning Rozerem. Thanks. Thanks for asking, Hos. The science project is going quite well. So far the Requip seems like a miracle. I had no idea how pervasive the RLS was until I got a little break from it. I've o...

Hey all, I saw the sleep doctor today. He's a real gem. Kind, caring, attentive, and most of all - he believes me when I tell him my symptoms. He said it's up to me - if the Requip works, then we'll stick with it. If not, we try Mirapex, and then if I'm still having troubles, on to the neurontin, op...

St. John's Wort
Does anyone have any experience with this herb? It's been studied extensively as an antidepressant, and has been found to be effective. It works on serotonin, GABA, and dopamine. I'm currently taking Lexapro, an SSRI, and have been reading that SSRIs aggravate RLS. I've thought about switching back ...

Thanks Charlene and Ann. I tried to call my primary care doc today, but got the assistant's answering machine. Left a message asking if my doc will treat RLS, or if I should see a specialist. Haven't heard back yet (I like my doctor, but getting in touch with her can take days). Meanwhile I called a...

Wow, I was up all night last night (again, it's been a repeating pattern for a long, long time) and found this message board. I have learned so much and want to thank you all. You have explained so much. I'm sure I've had RLS all my life. When I was a child, I often had what my parents referred to a...
