Re: Thoughts, do I even have RLS?
I'm late replying to you, but it sure does not sound like WED/RLS. It sounds dreadful, though, and I hope your neurologist is figuring it out.

Re: Supplements, diet
I do not have CD or any GI issues so the gluten sensitivity re RLS was a surprise. Would love to hear if others experience the same thing. ME! I am not sure if it was cutting out gluten or the other dietary changes I made, but they allowed me to reduce over a period of 2 years from 15-21 mg hydromo...

Re: A Study
Do most RLS sufferers feel symptoms below the knee? I've read that most WED/RLS people feel it below the knee, but it seems to me from people's descriptions I've read over the years that we feel it all over our legs and arms, and other places besides. I've also heard that the sensations don't appea...

Re: new member and lots of questions
Wow. You poor thing. Your new doctor is plugged into the right networks, because 3 x 0.25 = 0.75 the maximum now being recommended by WED/RLS specialists. You were on an awful lot of pramipexole, and you came off it very quickly. I haven't heard of that causing your symptoms, though. I agree with St...

Re: Supplements, diet
Taking iron has caused the biggest change for me of any "supplement" I've taken. And I cut my medication almost in half by switching to whole foods, 6 cups of vegetables per day (a variety including sulfur-containing veg, colored veg, and dark leafy greens), organ meats, cold-water wild fish; NO add...

Re: My experiences with Cannabis
I've never been able to handle cannabis well. How jealous I was of my friends who enjoyed it! All it ever did for me was make me sick or put me to sleep. But every few years, or decades ha ha , I would try it again to see if anything had changed. Once, I tried it after I'd been suffering from WED/RL...

Re: suppliment, Zyflamend
I haven't tried it. Nor have I tried some of those herbs. I've noticed lately that I seem to be very sensitive to all black and green teas, so I would be mildly concerned if it was myself trying it - but I would still try it. In fact, I might - - You should check the known potential side effects & i...

Re: Why Does Alcohol Help Me?
FWIW (not much I'm afraid), I'm an MD (a dirty word on this forum lol).. Not a dirty word! Though I do wish more MDs had the disease :). As in every profession, some MDs are good, some are bad, some are neutral, and all have good days, bad days, and in-between days. I hope our common rants about do...

Re: Melatonin added to the mix
Hi Paul I have two red-lights lamps in my living room, two red lights in clamp-sockets in my kitchen, one in my office, one in my bedroom, and one in the bathroom. And I swapped out the white bulbs for red ones in two hallways. So when 9 PM comes (or 8 PM, I'm experimenting with different times), I ...

Re: Methadone and rashes
That's some heavy artillery they're giving you for the rash. I don't have personal experience but rashes are fairly common with methadone. I don't know if your particular rash is typical. I hope it goes away and stays away so you can still get relief from the WED/RLS.

Re: ketamine infusions
A report describing two cases suggests that ketamine does help WED/RLS: https://journals.lww.com/anesthesia-analgesia/Fulltext/2002/06000/Oral_Ketamine__A_Promising_Treatment_for_Restless.34.aspx. At least, it helps the type of WED/RLS caused by nerve damage (the authors speculate that there is such...

Re: Dipyridamole
Ecopipam or something similar cant come soon enough for those of us that can't take opioids 24/7 At first I hated the thought of this med - - it seemed to just be covering up the problems caused by DAs, not actually fixing anything. Now I don't care, I'd love to be on something that didn't make me ...

Re: Welcome to MaryKaye
Wednesday, August 17 Welcome to MaryKaye, who is looking for information on where to get treatment for augmentation. She would like to see what others have experienced during the withdrawal. You can find most of what you are looking for in our Augmentation Forum. As for where to get treatment, that...

Re: Dipyridamole
Is anyone else even taking this for RLS ?? I may be more inclined to take it if I heard another success story . I'm a bit deterred otherwise I wish. I just convinced my doctor to prescribe it, then the pharmacy got back to her and told her my insurance doesn't cover it. So she said forget it. I see...
