Re: Medical Marijuana
I am getting ready to purchase some things to try. I have been using the CBD vape pen a few times per day and right now, even with decreasing from 20 to 15 mgs of methadone, my legs are incredibly quiet. Eerily quiet I would say. That is just how it is sometimes, and then BAM I'll go through the nex...

Re: Medical Marijuana
Thank you thank you thank you!! This thread has been tremendously helpful for me. I am at the beginning of my experimentation into the MM world with the hope that I can begin to back off my methadone. Or at least have something non-opioid for breakthrough symptoms. I am on 15-20 mgs of methadone, 3 ...

Re: Getting off pramipexole etc.
Dgarmaise, I would go with what your doctor recommended. I was saying that Dr B had me do the same and I think it is because it is only postponing your ultimate "journey"and possibly even extending your suffering. The transition is not less severe whether you come off 2 or4. Does that make...

Re: Getting off pramipexole etc.
I had to also wean off of neupro and go through withdrawals. My Dr specializes in RLS and he does very little weaning once I augment. It's not going to improve things to stay on the DA any longer in my opinion. You kind of have to just jump in. I found it impossible to be totally comfortable during ...

Re: Substance abuse history and substandard care
I have been treated with narcotics for RLS for the last 6 years. I have been in recovery from drugs and alcohol for 8. Further, I work as a therapist in a substance abuse care facility. My doctor was very aware that I had abused drugs in the past BUT you have a right (WE ALL HAVE RIGHTS) to pain man...

Off methadone and on to oxycontine
I have been unable to get a whole night sleep in a very long time. Prior to that very long time my RLS was as perfectly controlled as it could be using methadone, oxycodone and tramadol. But then I had a progression in symptoms and despite many different ideas working with dr B, we had to move into ...

Re: Cold Turkey vs Slowly Weaning
I'll just say it because I think assuming that "everybody knows that" (insert whatever that thing is that you assume everybody already knows) is a real disservice and can lead to much regret later on. Any type of opioid taken either for a longer period of time (more than 2-4 weeks), or tak...

Re: Neupro
I typically have been on very low doses of both of my DA's so with requip and neupro he said cold turkey. And as far as mess go, we have been working together long enough and he knows that I understand fully the repercussions for taking "more" medication (that being it just creates a whole...

Re: Neupro
This will be my third time trying to post! It keeps closing the program before I can get it posted! I'll keep it short. Thanks for the support. Interview went well and have second interview tomorrow am. Dr B confirmed its augmentation so I am 2 days off neupro now. Wiggling away on my couch and tryi...

Re: Neupro
That was a very helpful article. Thank you again. Certainly does feel just like the last time I augmented. I have call into dr B and an appointment Thursday. I have a job interview today this afternoon for a new job that I really hope to get. It's just a bummer that I have to choose between dosing u...

Re: Neupro
I use oxy, methadone, tramadol and lunesta. They are all very low doses and for a very long time I have been symptom free basically and have taken my meds like clockwork. As long as I took my meds, no symptoms. If I was even lye on a dose symptoms. It was a very delicate balance but pretty spot on (...
