Thanks Aiken, I'll google this and find out a bit about it.

Had my first treatment with the physio this morning and was told that MRI showed there is nerve compression at C3/4 to the right, and to a lesser degree at C6/7 to the left. I thought I wasn't too bad today until she started to massage.... yikes.... Then it was ultrasound followed by heat. Apparentl...

I didn't, hubby sleeps like a log. And if I disturb him when I get up he just pats me gently as I get out of bed, and goes over to sleep again quite easily. Then he just might have a wee nap during the day, circumstances permitting. Sometimes I look at him sleeping, and much as I love him, I could g...

Yes Aiken, I do remember that you had issues with your back/neck/shoulder, when I did a post once before on a sort of related theme. Mine I think is around C4/5 but I'll find out tomorrow (actually that is now today cos I'm up for a bit of a dander at 2.30 am) Your term 'rls-like' issues covers my t...

I have always, well for about 20 years anyway, had discomfort with my neck and shoulders. Getting comfy when sitting watching tv not easy, can only sleep in one position, not good following ironing, desk work, etc. Problem mostly neck/right shoulder/into the arm. Can sometimes be just an ache, and s...

Yes Susan, I have to make an appt with doc for next week, and am going to ask about the Lunesta. I think I did once ask about Ambien CR and doc said it didn't exist. He had been so cooperative that I didn't want to argue with him. I have a back-up of diaz for when it is vital that I have a good slee...

Oh.. a nap..... it would be such a joy. Yesterday morning, (Sunday) I had been up for a while pottering about, came back to bed around 8am, read for a little while, hubby was getting up around 8.30am and I said I'll just see if I can go to sleep for a while. I dozed off, and next I knew it was 10.30...

Well.... I was sort of being 'tongue in cheek' when I said it was a bad thing... cos I prefer not to use the diazepam. As a sleeping aid 10mg is probably ok, but not the sort of dose I would want to be taking regularly. I have Ambien which helps me to sleep but it is very short lived. I can get to s...

Hi K8 I am fortunate enough in that I have never ever had the flu, of any type. However, on occasion when I have been ill enough to 'throw up' I think I used peptobismal to try settle my tummy, thus keeping the medication down. Also domperidon is a good anti nausea medication but I don't think it is...

Don't know that I've ever thought of it as speech problems. But I do find memory not just as sharp as it was, hesitate over finding the correct word, say a similar word but not correct, sometimes hesitant in my flow of speech. I am sure that lack of sleep may have something to do with this. Yeah !! ...

I'm really sorry that you find yourself in this state. I was in the same position as yourself, trying to do a desk job while coping with my 24/7 symptoms. My efforts to get through the day included standing and working at my desk sometimes for an hour at a time to try and 'work off' the antsy crawli...
