Re: Orthofix fusing machine
Can I get ferritin without a RX? My doctor isn't helpful at all. I just made an appt with a neurologist/sleep specialist but I can't get in until late June. I take magnesium for leg cramps already. I've tried Gabapentin, Miropex and both made me nauseous x 10. PTL I slept good last night. My doctor ...

Orthofix fusing machine
I just had spinal surgery for 3 herniated disks. Part of the treatment is wearing a belt for 2 hrs a day. This belt releases something that tells the brain that I have a fracture and the brain then produces something that makes bone grow over m artificial disks. But since I started this treatment I'...

Over-the-counter sleep aids
Do the OTC sleep aids help or hinder? I bought Sominex but am afraid to take it. I'm fearing a worse case of RLS from it. If anyone has taken any of these did it make the RLS worse or better????

Re: What kind of doctor for RLS?
I only got 4 hrs of sleep again last night. Because I'm recuperating from spinal surgery I'm not real active and inactivity really spurs the RLS to it's highest degree of annoyance. I'm getting desperate. As for the oxycodone... I took it in the hospital and I didn't have RLS. I didn't have it the w...

Re: Doctor Rant
I think the doctor saw the opioid addiction becoming an epidemic. Xanax worked for me for 17 yrs and my new doctor refuses to give it to me.

Re: random rant about a doctor
My doctor for 25 yrs gave me the lowest dose of Xanax .25.... I break them in half. One half at bedtime gave me a great night's sleep. So for 17 years that's how I dealt with RLS. The doc retired and I had to find a new one. The new one immediately took me off the Xanax saying that people over 65 ha...

Re: Mental RLS triggers
I'm recovering from spinal surgery and spend a good deal of time in the recliner with my feet up...I"m bored but there isn't much I can do. RLS feeds on this. Ugh! I get up and walk around but I can't do that for long. This is torture. Hoping to find help here.

Re: What Calms You in the Night?
A friend of mine recommended a spoonful of peanut butter with a glass of milk. Sounds off the wall but when you're desperate you'll try anything. It actually worked and I don't know why. I read on my Kindle to relax enough to fall asleep, but it doesn't help RLS because it will waken me out of my so...

Re: Is It RLS/WED? Or Something Else? Or both?
I was under the impression RLS and WED were one and the same. If you Google Willis-Ekbom disease it also brings up RLS.

Re: What kind of doctor for RLS?
I checked and there are several neuralogists who treat RLS in my area BUT they also treat epilepsy and parkinson's which makes me fear all they'll do is prescribe more of the drugs I've already tried. They make me nauseus. What other treatments are there? Dying here as we speak...3:30 pm and I got r...

Re: What kind of doctor for RLS?
Thank you, but I don't want to take opioids-- I just had spinal surgery and have a whole medicine chest full of Oxycodone... that's all I need is to get addicted. I'll try checking docs in the area. Thanks for the help.
