Re: Question about pharmas, augmentation, etc...

Crazy is providers who won't prescribe medications that they know or believe will provide relief but are too afraid or ?? to do so and want to shift that burden on to someone else. Maybe that's what someone just said. In that case, ditto!

Re: RLS, Depression and Anti-depressants

Thanks for checking in on my question(s). Much appreciated. At this particular point, insomnia seems to be more of a difficulty for me than rls (knocking on wood). Neuro suggested I may want to try and AD to see if this would help the sleep pattern. Toying with the idea but as per usual don't want t...

Re: RLS, Depression and Anti-depressants

Ann & Susan, Thanks for posting the great links. One got a bit to "researchy" for me but the gist of all seemed to come across easily. Actually, reading the links reminded me of a question that I posted in another thread, Anxiety/Depression. The question centered around whether once an...

E, I am also glad you have been able to get things sorted out. I am so sorry for all that you have had to go through and pray that it will never happen again. Take care.

Re: Anxiety/Depression Meds

In cases in which AD's have resulted in a worsening of rls symptoms, do the increased symptoms then decrease once the AD is stopped? Or, do the increase in symptoms linger or result in a permanent increase in rls symptoms?

Re: Finished with Ropinirole

Rick, Many here know how difficult coming off a benzo can be so congrats with that. Actually, I think being able to titrate down from 3 mg in just 4 months is remarkably good! Still, I bet it wasn't much fun. I have been on an opiate (on some level/frequency) for more than a decade. It has been extr...

Re: Lost

I have RlS/WED and other problems. I take ropinirole for my legs . I have taken it for many years . It helps but I get confused about augmentation -are some or even all of my symptoms ( leg movement and leg pain) a result of my med. I know if I do not take it I have symptoms and if I take it I have...

Re: New Doctor

OK - looking for some feedback. I have two options. I spoke with my husband tonight about the move and how important it will be for me to be functional to get through all this stuff. We merged two households 15 years ago and have never really purged things we didn't need/use. I've given a bit away ...

Re: Central Apnea, Methadone Withdrawal, and Other Trials and Tribulations

I'm struggling a bit with the whole idea of "another" sleep study. Had one about 10 years ago (about 30 years into my rls). Results indicated no sleep apnea but did show some plus. Also, "ta-dah," poor sleep. Anyway, new new neuro referred me to a sleep specialist, primarily due ...

Re: Odd reaction to Neupro

I'm relatively young and I just can't imagine spending the next 50+ (or whatever) years upping meds or turning to narcotics. The thought terrifies me. Looking at a glass that is at least half-full here....Looking back at having had this ^%&*%^* disease for 50+ years I think I'd rather be in you...

Re: Symptoms - Burning sensation

I had a chronic case of plantar fasciaiitis several years ago resulting from twisting my foot in a small depression. Dr. did lots of things such as tapings, injections, inserts, etc. Darn thing would just not heal. He finally put me into a walking boot for about a month which apparently gave the ten...

Re: Where does it hurt?

Views, You're right about the "face" search. There were some posts regarding "trigeminal neuralgia" which (in my opinion) seems pretty much on target but apparently does not seem to be one the new neuro I have seen recently wants to consider as he has stated he has "no expla...

Re: Where is my caffeine?

I have had mixed results with both caffeine and alcohol. I consume both infrequently but do so on occasion…caffeine when I have an early morning drive on little sleep and a sip of alcohol on holidays or a special occasion. Some nights following consuption of either can be quite problematic. While on...
