Re: Horrible side effects on pregabalin

I question how many people react favorably to this class -so many people report here that they aren't working. That said, many of us here, as with me, started with dopaminergics and the alpha 2 delta ligands do not work well for us. At the point most of us get here and our lives have been so negativ...

Re: RLS Doc in Chicago?

I am so sorry to hear that it hasn't improved any since I left. I was at my wit's end with it. But, very happy to hear you found a way to get someone who could help you, Valthinking! (and, yes, I would agree that my husband is pretty awesome)

No issues here taking it. I always take it on an empty stomach when I first wake up.

Re: Surgery and Covid

I read an article a few months ago about anesthesia and how it can impact memory (which may be the issue with the lack of recollection). Surgery often causes increased symptoms - many theories why, such as the blood loss.

Definitely talk to your RLS doctor and let the know about it.

Re: Device for tracking PLMs??

As far as I know, the only truly accurate ones are medical grade and not accessible OTC.

Re: A Study

Dr B suggested I try it at my last visit. I washed out, lol - too severe. But I really did feel that for someone with moderate to mild symptoms it would have helped. It even did help some (I was on a trip with I had it - trying to decrease meds while in strange places, flying on a plane), but I had ...

Re: RLS Doc in Chicago?

I never found one - I saw about 30 or so. Moved to a state with a RLS Quality Care Center in it. Hope you find one. Valthinking - I saw Munsen's name a year or so before I left. I saw a neurologist in the Loop that was highly recommended instead and it was so horrible, I came home in tears. My husba...

Just got the tens unit and hooked it up as you did on the calf. What pulse width did you use and what pulse rate? Thanks Rlkamm
This post was so long ago, the person may not be on the forum any longer, unfortunately.

Hi onboard,

No one that I no of currently is on dialysis. I have read how dialysis folks have this nasty disease about 80% of the time, though. Must be miserable.

Hi Mac - Fatigue - only if I take too large of a dose. Recommendation is to take enough to keep symptoms at around 90% covered. That helps a lot. Insomnia - not insomnia, but alerting. It makes you awake when you want to be asleep. Taking it earlier often does help, as does taking it with something ...

I've been taking an oral iron supplement for about 7 years. I still get breakthrough RLS, but am lucky that the increased ferritin value has mitigated my RLS.
Wish this for everyone!
