I was on the same dose of codeine/tylenol for a year. Now I take methadone and take the same dose as when I started 4-5 months ago. RLS as a rule does not lead to tolerance as fast as ofther types of pain states.

I think that MDs do not respond well to us patients recommending drugs that work for us especially if they happen to be opiates. You will likely have to stay with the same MD, try a few drugs and maybe you will get lucky and find a non-opiate that helps. However, if you do not respond well then hope...

jrowley...your attitude towards Methadone seems to be the same prejudice held by many physicians, nurses, and the general public. That is that just because Methadone has a history of primarily being used for heroin/opiate addiction that that is all it is good for and that anyone taking it deserves s...

My RLS update

I am 33yo male and have had primary RLS since as long as I can remember back to childhood. My RLS is painful with both daytime and nighttime symptoms depending upon what I am doing. I learned about RLS in nursing school and decided to go seek help. About 2 years ago I began on Requip at the advice o...

I am on Klonopin as well and have been for about 2 months. I still feel the need to supplement it with tylenol#4 of hydrocodone in the evening only of course. This course of treatment is not authorized by my neorologist of primary care phjysician. I had to resort to online doctors that review your m...

Also, they give you 2 or 3 refills on top of the original fill and then you presumably need to set up another consultation and I am not sure if it is as costly as the first but like I said how can you put a price on relief.

Well I used ermeds.com They were very professional. $120 for the consultation which I scheduled on a Wednesday. Faxed my records to them on the same day documenting my year and 4 months of visits to my neuro. They had a doc call my house on Thursday and I got the meds I needed on Friday. All hassle ...

That was me above as the quest, these docs will also help you manage your condidtion as you wish it to be. They will also prescribe up to 120 tablets of oxycodone, hydrocodone, etc. per month with 2-3 refills between consultations. They really feel that noone should have to live in pain but everyone...

Do some research on your own, look at the little research available and try medical marijuana. Sounds like RLS is a huge quality of life issue for you and it would not hurt to trt it under the supervision of a physician in a state that allows for it.

Being a senior in a bachelors of nursing program, we have had some extensive course and or practical work with the energy healing therapies. Nursing is big into alternative therapies unlike the majority of the md community. Hard to do for yourself, actually they never advised this. Instead, it needs...

I have been taking Requip for over a year and it has worked great. Lately though the aching in my legs has been a problem despite increasing dose and frequency. I am thinking of switching to Mirapex to see if that helps for a while. Also, there has been talk of marijuana on these boards. I have a re...

Hi, I am on Requip, it seems to work very well for me. It makes me intensly sleepy and I do not feel the painful sensations in my legs. One of the documented theraputic side-effects of Requip (and other DA's) is the enhancement of a positive mood, not sure how you are getting swings maybe there are ...
