Re: new diagnosis child
Wow that's really a hard one. I'm a parent as well and have hat it all my life. Here's what I can add, I remember stretching constantly and not the relaxed kind of stretch like a yawn thing, but a long drawn-out uncomfortable twisting full bodied one. You've seen it i'm sure the kid that twists and ...

Re: Relax Exercise and Oils
Thanks for the exercises--i've a spinal prob as well (had surgery) anyway am using them to help along with my other exercises--and i've encouraged my wife and mostly my oldest son (been having backaches--way too much). Very timely-thanks again. A question about the testing thing--my specialist is ba...

The Mrs and councellors who suck
Just wanted to drop a note (the sleepless half is watching but I get to spout). As the WED has gotten worse, the periods of extreme sleeplessness coupled with other life stressors have put us in a position where we thought a little outside help might be useful. The last bout Randy had with an ongoin...

Re: Follow-up question regarding Requip discontinuance
Sure, First i'd have (as it was pointed out here a while back--thanks for that guys) to say I got lucky with a great dr. It's important to recognize the lucky/ good components as they can be few or hard to see. Also I'm personally careful to let the dr know when i'm pleased or thank them for a job w...

Re: pirde and wed
I am glad to hear that. I don't feel that it should affect "my person" but get confused (especially when exhausted) about how to not have it affect the lives of others i care greatly about, more than is absolutely necessary. Thus the apology thing. So i'm really exhausted, over-talkative, ...

Re: Augmentation--and vision problems
does your vision change radically too?
No i don't have glasses but am aware that i need reading glasses--was a bit of a prob before and is more so now. But these are two different things for me.

Has it been your experience that your rls-wed subsides to a manageable level when you are unmedicated?

Re: WENT ON SUBOXONE TO AVOID RLS WITHDRAWL FROM PAIN MEDS
Restless leg syndrome has had a name change recently to Willis ekbom disease thu the wed
i'm just getting used to calling it that!
the rls name wasn't very dignified so they finally got the approval for the name change.

Re: Follow-up question regarding Requip discontinuance
For sure, i'm going to have to be more careful what i say. I wasn't suggesting you do it that way-just food for thought.I meant that, having merit, comment as a question for others reading in case there's a reason my dr shouldn't be doing it, or another idea for people to consider. Thanks for the re...

Re: WENT ON SUBOXONE TO AVOID RLS WITHDRAWL FROM PAIN MEDS
sounds like your reasonably sure once your body adjusts to the lack of meds the wed will return to bearable?
If so are you looking for ideas/support, etc. about how to get there?

Re: requip made my rls worse..is mirapex going to do it also
My experience was horrible with requip--my heart rate never came below 111 until it started to wear off and i felt like i had just finished a severe flight/fight response. (no chance for rest much less sleep) However i took it for a couple of days and it calmed down. The mirapex did not have any neg...

Re: Follow-up question regarding Requip discontinuance
I have at my disposal both long acting and short acting meds (hydrocodone or hydromorph) so that if it's really bad i can control it and not have to kind of guess what i'll need or overmedicate. It also allows my dr to see how much long acting i really need--more or less. Since the times and symptom...

Re: Augmentation--and vision problems
I've had vision changes before from meds but they din't just fluctuate out of the blue--like without taking anything i'll be walking along and my eyes 'll go blurry but then clear in an hour or something--there seems to be no rime or reason. That doesn't seem to be anything i've heard of in meds bef...

pirde and wed
I was wondering if folks might take a min to talk about their experiences with the affects of wed on their pride. For instance recently i find myself making alot of mistakes in my dealings with others due to the frustration and lack of sleep, so i'm always appologising for stuff (too much) and that ...
