I have RLS, seems to be primary, and it's almost all in my right leg and flank, though I have lesser sensations in other bits of my right side.

I have bounced my right leg all day long for as long as I can remember...

I should mention that I take name-brand Darvon, not generic propoxyphene. My experience in life is that generics are never as good as name brand as long as there's still a name brand. I think they make generics as good as they're required to be by law, but I suspect they add a little extra to the na...

I actually just posted my own results of using Darvon, which is just propoxyphene. Darvocet also has acetominophen, which is not useful for RLS and which damages the liver over long periods. If you do get it, make sure you get Darvon and not Darvocet. See here for my report: m Also check the RLS RX ...

My experience with Darvon

Hey folks, Back in September I talked about my doctor letting me try Darvon for my fairly low-grade, but chronic, RLS. I thought I should post an update. It's been five months now that I've been taking 130mg of Darvon 60-90 minutes before bedtime and I've had pretty excellent results. I sleep well, ...

It seems to have tapered off. It may have something to do with what I was eating last week. (I can do certain leftovers for days. ) Some meds seem to vary a lot based on the fats/starches in your digestive tract. It's actually working quite well now. I seem to need it about half of my nights, which ...

Darvon causing (extra) jerks/twitches?

My doctor is kindly letting me try out Darvon (propoxyphene), since I'm so hesitant to start down the Neurontin/Sinemet/Requip road before I absolutely have to. The effect of the drug is not bad. It just barely masks the RLS feeling. That's probably ideal: only as much as I need to get to sleep on t...

Hm, the lack of response here is probably not surprising, given the results I'm getting from this stuff: - No apparent help with RLS sensations from an adult dose, but... - Grainy vision (like what happens with Sonata, but grainier) - One significant gasping & swearing panic attack in the middle...

Dextromethorphan?

I've recently done some melatonin therapy and light therapy at the directions of my sleep specialist. It's actually working pretty well and I've now gotten off my sleep meds for about a week with acceptable results. It's really nice to get natural sleep. However, not being drugged out of my gourd at...

I found out about Amitriptyline after I found these forums about a month back. I had been taking 10mg as a sleep aid for a long time and decided to get off of it. I can say with no doubt about placebo or subjectivity that it was definitely exacerbating my problem. I had RLS from hip to ankle on the ...

I think I have RLS - feedback?

First let me say I'm going to consult a doctor, so no need to tell me to. I just like to go to a doctor with as much info in my brain as possible. If nothing else, it lets me identify a useless doctor so I can move on. Also let me say that I'm terribly wordy by nature and I'll forgive anyone who can...
