My sleep test showed that I had a level of 20 apneas and now that I use the cpap it averages 0.5.
I can recall the waking up gasping for air and feeling for what seemed a long time that I couldn't get a breath. It was very alarming.
You need to have it checked out.

Re: Methadone causing Sleep Apnea?
I am a 74F and an rls sufferer of 40 years. My treatment is not methadone but is max doses of cocodamol and pregabalin. I also reckon I have about 90% relief. I have sleep apnea diagnosed 4 years ago. The cpap machine is wonderful. I don't know if the cocodamol plays any part in the sleep apneas but...

Re: STUDY: Vitamin D Lessens the Severity of Restless Legs
I note that the 12 subjects in the study were all Vitamin D deficient prior to the treatment.
i.e. ""Vitamin D supplementation lessens the severity of RLS symptoms where Vitamin D is deficient""

Re: You feel fine and then you lie down . . . !
Exactly what Steve says above about hot water .....but icy cold water worked for me, every time. Feels painful for a.moment but very quickly eases. I used a jug to constantly trickle the water from at least knee high. 15-20 minutes and ready for bed.

Re: Reversing Restless Leg Syndrome
You appear to have had a positive appointment at the VA Hospital and I wish you well as you further reduce your Requip.
The journey is likely to be difficult but you know this.
I remember the day I was finally finished with Requip.... feeling like I had just conquered Everest.

Re: Head roll
*Buglegs* The burning in your legs makes me think of neuropathy. Have you seen your doctor about this. You know that your 3 mg Requip for RLS is way too high, daily max being 1 mg. If augmenting you need to wean off the Requip... A treatment plan needs to be discussed. It is a difficult time but if ...
