the first couple weeks on Sinemet I was able to sleep like a rock, but yes symptoms now occur in the a.m. and sometimes throughout the day. So I take an extra Sinemet when this occurs...but only if I can't stand it anymore, because I have heard that too high of doses can make things worse. I have on...

reply to overweight
Very interesting, I was going to ask the same type of question today. I am overweight, started gaining quickly about 5 years ago. I have borderline thyroid imbalance and they test it every few months. I have Lupus and when I was inactive during a flare, the RLS kicked in big time. Without going into...

can blood drawn triggered daytime RLS?
I had blood drawn yesterday morning, as usual they had trouble getting a vein, and I had fasted for 12 hours so I got pale and dizzy. I just get that way sometimes, when they take blood, like I'm going to faint. The tests are just monitoring tests because I have SLE, with RLS. Then, when I got home ...

Even during a bad RLS night, I try to describe the sensations to myself and still have trouble, but I will try. It occurs in both legs, but at the onset, I feel achiness in my right knee. I just get comfortable and on the verge of sleep and wamo, here we go again! For years I only experienced what I...

My RLS became severe last fall. The strange creepy crawly sensations and movement with stabbing would keep me up all night. I would still be moving and pacing when the alarm would go off. My general doc had no clue. I was having othe problems and finally after seeing a Rheumatologist I was diagnosed...

Sinemet is working!
Just wanted to let you all know that I started taking Sinemet (carbidopa & levodopa) about two weeks ago and it has been a great relief. I actually am comfy all night long for about a week straight now. I was on Neurontin for about three months, with some improvement, but then the symptoms came ...

disability benefits
I have been unable to work for about 4 months due to SLE and RLS. I have the SLE under control, but still struggle with the right meds for RLS. I think it is horrible that SS disability does not recognize RLS as disabling. At this point it is by far more disabling than my SLE. I can get benefit help...

eyes
have you been seen by an eye doctor? I have recurring episcleritis. Are your eyes blood red at times? I was recently diagnosed with SLE, as well as, RLS. Very dry eyes are one of my many symptoms. The outer layers of the eye skin are actually cracked due to the dryness. Steroid drops can temporarily...

RLS and Lupus
I have recently been diagnosed with both RLS and Lupus. The RLS nightly torture finally caused me to insist on a referral from my family doctor to a rheumatologist. I had seen 2 doctors who told me I probably had strange allergies. I didn't buy it, and when I described the symptoms to a rheumatologi...
