sick youtube posting
HI there - I went to youtube to see the RLS pulbic service announcements mentioned in teh efriends newsletter and I saw a very disturbing and ignorant joke posted about RLS. It made me very angry. Has anyone else seen it? Can the RLS.org people pressure youtube to take it down? The post basically sa...

iron infusion - allergic reaction
Hi there - I started seeing a neurologist who is also a researcher on RLS. He suspected I was augmenting on my requip (1mg in day time up to 3 times and 3mg at bed time) and when tested my iron deficiency was moderate to severe. I'm now off all my meds except for lorazepam, which he says won't help ...

Itching with stopping Requip or starting Mirapex??
ViewsAskew:
Thanks for the reply . . . Yes, it is a coincidence, but he has been breaking out and itching for about 6-8 weeks, and my husband is NOT itching. We both have been lathering him up with creams, so one would expect that both of us would be itching if it was contagious, I guess . . . UGH.

Itching with stopping Requip or starting Mirapex??
Hi all, Has anyone experienced itching while coming off requip or starting Mirapex? at drugs.com it says that if you stop requip suddenly, you can experience etching, but I tapered off to .5 mg before stopping. (Saturday was my first day with no requip and I think I started itching on Sunday). I sta...

Klonopin/clonazepam
My Aunt is on 2mg clonazepam for RLS at night, but lately it has not been working too well for her. I don't think she has tried any other meds for it. Is this usually one of the first medicines a doc would try? Should she ask for something else?

Thank you so much for your reply! I'm glad to hear you found something that works for you and is safe during pregnancy! I will definitely ask about Lortab. It increases my optimism to hear from women like you in the same situation. I felt so alone during my pregnancy last year . . . my GP and my OB ...

Hopkins doc visit
Hi there, I saw the doc at Johns HOpkins today. He told me to get off the Remeron, as predicted! He wants me to back off the requip and lorazepam (which I already started doing) and get off it completely. He gave me mirapex for night time. He wants to see how intense the sensations are in the daytim...

Squirming Susan- Thanks for the tips - I have had my ferritin, folate and B12 levels checked. In my second trimester, I was on the low side of normal on B12. I was anemic and took iron supplements reluctantly - I have GERD and vitamins can really do me in! The slow FE was not too bad though. Looking...

New to RLS boards
Hi to the Mothers with RLS! My RLS came on in June 2007 at week 20 of my pregnancy. I did acupuncture and took small amounts of lorazepam starting at week 20 and the antidepressant Remeron at week 28. I was told it would go away after delivery but alas, it did not! My baby is nearly 11 months old no...
