This is similar to my doctor's reaction too... When the doctor gave me a sample pack of Mirapex, he said "if it doesn't work, then just stop taking it". Well, trying to be optimistic and hopeful, I gave it an extra week to see if it would start getting better. Augmented - still worse now (...

Definitely talk to your doctor about the coldness in your legs. I don't know if it could be RLS related or not... there are so many variations of symptoms. But you never know... it could be an unrelated circulation issue too. And you'd defintely want to get that checked out, anyway. On top of RLS, I...

Oh no... I didn't take your post badly at all. No worries.

I am so thankful for those of you who are NOT shy like me, LOL... and are willing to share your experiences with the rest of us.

Thank You! :)

Thanks very much for your comments, Ann. I do read this forum a lot more than I post, and it seems like I only come 'in here' to vent... I'm sorry for that. But I do appreciate this place. As much as I don't wish this on anyone, it is good to know that I am not the only one. And to read about others...

Hi all... I just felt like posting another update, and having yet another jumpy, sleepy day. I'm so tired of being tired!!!!! I've pretty much weaned myself off the Klonopin. I have a 'follow-up' appointment with the doctor later this week, but I'm going to cancel. I'm fed up with my insurance not c...

Motrin Every Day??? That will tear up your stomach... I would describe my Migraine Auras almost exactly the same way. But luckily, it doesn't sound like you are experiencing the migraine pain that comes after. My sister-in-law (who has experienced migraines since childhood, as I have) was recently t...

You know... it seems like lately (and I've actually just very recently mustered the gumption to mention it to anyone outside of my family), whenever I mention that I have RLS, someone says "Oh, I have that"... Which should make me feel better, right? But no, because they all seem to be ful...

Thanks. The problem is that I never had trouble sleeping... I could sleep my life away! Truly... The RLS doesn't wake me up, or even keep me awake. Actually, when I experience it, going to bed is the first thing on my mind. Which makes me wonder if the Klonopin is the right choice for me anyway... T...

Hello - Just popping in for another update... I've still been taking .5 of Klonopin every other night. Still not so sure how well it's working. How do you tell? I haven't talked to the doctor about it anymore yet. But I'm going to have to if I'm going to continue the Klonopin - or stop it, I guess.....

I am a runner... I try to make the time to run 3-5 days per week (I'm only up to about 2-3 miles, and I'm very slow, though). I find that the running helps. As long as I take it slow - working up to increasing my distance, and not pushing myself too hard. My legs usually only ache on the days I don'...

This sounds similar to the TENS unit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcutaneous_Electrical_Nerve_Stimulator that my husband has for his shoulder pain. I've often wondered if this would help my legs too... I've tried it on my neck when I get bad headaches, but haven't put it on my legs yet.

I don't know if it would work on lip gloss...

But for motor oil & other stuff, Purple Castrol Super Clean (found in the automotive aisle) works great! Just add a bit to the laundry with the normal amount of detergent.

maddie - Well, I was initially afraid for silly reasons... I talk in my sleep, and swear like a sailor in my sleep too. But I got over those fears quickly. LOL That cost is including what my insurance would pay... I have a very high deductible, and pretty much nothing is "covered" until th...

Odd how everyone's symptoms are just a little different...

That "heavy" feeling you describe is how my legs feel when RLS is about to go full-on.

I'm glad to hear that you're getting some relief though. That's great! I hope it lasts for you.
