Coping with 58 hours air travel

A few weeks ago I flew from Milan to the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. After giving up trying to figure out the total time in advance, when I left the hotel I just started the stopwatch on my phone. Door to door, 58 hours. I survived but would stop overnight somewhere to sleep next ...

Re: Two hours of sleep

Hi Deb,
I'm so sorry to hear of your son-in-laws cancer. No cancer is good but some are worse as I believe esophageal cancer is. I'm glad you can be there to help.

Re: Boston - One Year Ago

Steve, the movie isn't for those who lived the bombing. I know you don't need or want to relive the experience. I wonder what percentage of total runners ran again in 2014? Seeing the numbers it must have been most of them. I know the Boston Marathon has always been special to runners and locals sin...

Re: Boston - One Year Ago

I'd like to see this thread bumped every year. Bostonians, who have always supported their marathon, deserve recognition for the way they rallied after the bombing and still do. Because I lived across the river in Cambridge for seven years I have always followed the race and read everything I could ...

Re: Hellish night due to not taking my ropinerol

I started this thread over two years ago and have had fairly good success with taking one ropinerole cut in two before bed and being willing to get up and stretch and read for a half hour or so a couple of times a night. Last night I woke up with fairly bad symptoms only an hour and quarter after go...

Re: Neighbors from you-know-where, anyone?

… the more I read what you write about them, the more I worry that their paranoid and erratic behavior and extreme aggressiveness means they're using/making meth. That would make an entirely new level of neighbors from hell. Meth (called P in New Zealand) is prevalent these days but I really hope t...

Re: Neighbors from you-know-where, anyone?

The cameras seem to be working already. Your hideous neighbors don't know the cameras don't record. With your documentation, if they did sue, I think it would be thrown out pretty fast. It's a shame we need to document everything these days just in case.

It just goes to show, you can't tell a thread by its name and it's good to at least skim all of them.

Re: Neighbors from you-know-where, anyone?

Yawny, New Zealand is about as close to paradise as possible these days. Great food and wine, not too many people but also earthquakes, floods, drought etc. As far as bunnies go, except for the chocolate versions, they are a plague and every Easter there is an "Easter bunny shoot" where te...

Re: Is anyone else still on clonazepam?

I took clonazepam for several months. My GP was so worried about addiction he had me take one tablet (I don't remember the dose) every three days. It seemed to do absolutely nothing for me so I stopped.

Re: Requip & Erectile Dysfunction ???

I hadn't been reading this post because the topic didn't apply to me at all but knowing how posts tend to meander, I skipped to the last page and sure enough, it had nothing to do with erectile dysfunction but was more of general RLS topics.

Re: British RLS documentary - Online access

When I was about 20 I applied a henna rinse in the shower and thought I was going to end up like Lucille Ball. Instead, I couldn't even tell the difference. That was my only foray into colouring my hair. As my hair started to turn gray either I had money or time but not both at once.

Re: Neighbors from you-know-where, anyone?

Many people in Christchurch are having a different, but similar problem. Before the earthquakes in 2010-2011, prostitutes solicited in the city center. When there was no more city center, they moved north to a residential neighborhood. They are dangerous, disgusting and annoying to many families and...

I did it too although it isn't really a survey, just one question where the answer can be as long as necessary .

Re: Neighbors from you-know-where, anyone?

I don't envy you, people like that are crazy and don't care how they retaliate. The best bet is getting your neighbors to file complaints too. Numbers get more attention than many complaints from the same person even when justified. Once I had neighbors who had loud parties at least once a week afte...
