Yes it did come. Thank you so much! I called Ms. B.'s office to make an appt. They said the soonest I could get in was end of next week. I told them my situation and that, whenever a new medication is prescribed, the doc tells you to call if you have any adverse effects. I yelled, "I'm having advers...

I'm glad you're able to switch. It will be interesting to see how the new Doc handles you. :-) The NIH report. Can you post a link to it? Is it that 18 page one? Umm....the quote. It didn't show up.

Mirapex cost

I'm planning on suggesting Mirapex to my Dr. when I see her next. My only concern is the cost. Right now the cost would be covered by my state insurance but I will be losing the insurance in four months and don't want to have to suddenly stop taking a drug I can't afford to pay for out of pocket. DO...

Taboo topic??

I was doing some looking online for places to buy drugs without a Rx. There are many sites claim I can buy without. Has anyone here tried this? Or is this a taboo topic?

Oh Lord, now THAT'S too much!!! LOL! My problem isn't cramping. My problem is figgeting. When my legs are being vibrated, I don't have to figget. Hey, is there a word for the need to move the legs?

Finally.....some rest!!

I posted this in another thread as a response to Nadia but thought I'd post it her too as follow-up. "Nadia, Thank you so much for posting that link! I got some rest for the first time in four nights!! On the site, she suggests "screaming louder than your legs" by concentrating on something else. I'...

Jumpy,

So do you think the Mirapex is working for you? How long does it take for it to be at it's full effectiveness?

I've heard of "slipping him a mickey" but what exactly is that?

CAN you switch to your daughter's dr.? Would you?

Nadia, Thank you so much for posting that link! I got some rest for the first time in four nights!! On the site, she suggests "screaming louder than your legs" by concentrating on something else. I've done concentrating on things before but it was always on stuff I'd make up in my head and it didn't...

Maybe I shouldn't have but I intentionally left out my history of depression. I knew if I included it, that's the conclusion that would be jumped to. So to answer your question, no she does not know I've taken meds for despression in the past. All she ever asked was, "Are you depressed?" and I told ...

Massagers and the like

I use a Homedics hand held massager to help relieve the restlessness. The problem is, it's not intended for how I use it. I put it under a pillow and lay my legs on top of it. It gets hot very quickly so I can only use it for short periods of time. I actually burned my first one up, not knowing how ...

I replied to this but it hasn't shown up so I guess I'll reply again. Thanks for the info, Heron. Does everyone with RLS have PLMS? It sounds exactly like my husband. He jerks and twitches all night. I don't know if I do because I can't watch myself while I'm asleep and he's always asleep before me....

Hi Everyone, I can more than relate to your feet, legs, having small kids, and the utter feeling that the world has not paid attention. I am a lifer, 40 yrs now. It has been passed to me by both my mom and dad. there are at least 7 people on one side, 3-4 of which that have pain along with the "twi...

Re: Sole

I cannot give anyone medical advice but I would cut down on the antidepressants if I were in your place. I would make sure you do it in the prescribed manner and notify your "doctor." Call her that you are having unbearable side effects (or augmentation of paresthesia) from your antidepressant medi...
