Re: If rls is caused by brain iron deficiency why do hot baths help?

A hot bath has been my silver bullet for the last 10 years when RLS and PLM got painful. Works 9 out of 10 times, at least for a while. Usually I use it for bad early onset and occasionally before bed. I've always thought the relief is caused by over stimulating brain. I get in 112 F (44.4 C) water ...

Re: A Study

Do most RLS sufferers feel symptoms below the knee? My faulty brain signals all go into my thighs.

Evaluated Granulocyte levels from Lyrica

Has anyone experienced Evaluated Granulocyte levels from Lyrica? Granulocyte are basically immature white blood cells that should not be in blood. I was referred to a Haematologist because a few CBC tests showed my level at the top or above accepted levels. Haematologist ruled out blood cancer and s...

Re: Taking low dose ropinirole with clonazepam

Well this experiment ended up as a failure. I'm thankful for the month of relief I got from 1/8 mg Ropinirole. When that failed increasing to 1/4 mg didn't help much after another month. The third month I did sleep better, which I hated to give up, but I had side effects of earlier and more intense ...

Re: Clonazapam not showing up in urine tests

They give you tests to see if you're selling it? Wow! That's nuts. I also have experienced prescription requirements and pharmacies make you feel like a criminal on this drug. I was on Clonazepam for close to 20 years and was doing fine. I dealt with daytime RLS like I had all my life and Clonazepam...

Re: Taking low dose ropinirole with clonazepam

I thought I would update and try not to babble like my previous post. After a wonderful month on 1/8 mg ropinirole in addition to my other meds, I had three really bad nights with intense creepy crawlies on my thighs so I increased to 1/4 mg. Half at first symptoms and half at bedtime 2 or 3 hours l...

Re: Covid Treatments

Rust, were you all vaccinated and boosted? Seems to be spreading like wildfire here in Florida but most vaccinated have very mild symptoms. I saw my neurologist this week and he had it two weeks ago, had very mild symptoms, home tested because his wife insisted and then ended up quarantining. His of...

I'm sorry Polar Bear, I was referring to my addiction in the pursuit in finding relief, just to get in deeper.

Re: Taking low dose ropinirole with clonazepam

1/8 mg failed me after a month. After 3 horrible evenings and nights I started 1/8th at first onset and 1/8 at bedtime about 3 hours later. I know I'm climbing a stairway to disaster but it feels so good. Probably what every addict says.

Re: Taking low dose ropinirole with clonazepam

About a month into my low dose ropinirole experiment my sleep keeps getting better. It feels so good not to fight my legs for every hour of sleep. My neurologist to gave lower dose pills so am getting a consistent dose. In the evening I am experiencing mild symptoms in my arms and a little more inte...

Re: Clonazepam vs. Gabapentin/Lyrica

I've been on Clonazepam for 25 years with a year off, 8 years ago. I quit then because of a large Canadian study that indicates that Clonazepam MIGHT hasten the onset of dementia. I told that to my GP who added Gabapentin and six months later told me to reduce clonazepam 3-2-1. I did exactly that bu...

Re: Clonazepam and Doctors

Valthinking, I know how you feel. I would taper as slow as you have to. My doctor told me the same thing, half the dose each month, but I had major withdrawal. I cut the pills into smaller and smaller pieces and still had lingering affects. It's probably better to titrate to get more exact doses but...

Re: Taking low dose ropinirole with clonazepam

Thx for the reply. I've only take melatonin a few times. I remember it only working the first day. Maybe I should try it agin for occasional bad nights staring at the ceiling. The low dose ropinirole experiment is working very well. I take all meds right before bed and the low dose ropinirole last, ...

Taking low dose ropinirole with clonazepam

I've started taking a low dose of ropinirole with clonazepam and pregabalin with limited success. My goal minimise these other nasty drugs. For a week I've been cutting 0.5 mg pills so my dose has been 1/8 to 3/16. At bedtime my legs are calmer than they have for years at 10 pm. The problem is that ...
