Re: Retitled: Phase II, let it begin.

I'm impressed that you had cottage cheese and fruit when you had no "filter"!!! I would have gone straight for the chocolate chips (with or without cookie/ice cream attached to them!). Gabapentin packed on a pound a day for eight straight days and I dumped that s*$@# faster than you can sa...

Re: Special mattress

I can't believe RLS/WED was named specifically!! I use a hot water bottle frequently while watching TV or reading at night. Wonder if heated mattress pad would have same effect??

First week on Methadone

So far so good!! For those who don't know me, I have been through every med available, iron infusion, several clinical trials, augmentation, etc. I had symptoms under control with 15mg oxycodone (5mg three times per day) for three years but was creeping up to 20mg about every other day. My doc, God ...

Re: Relaxis Pad

Please keep us posted!! Also, do you have a "sleep partner"?? I am very curious how this will affect my husband? We have a queen size bed and he is pretty tolerant of my periodic limb herky jerky thing and pretty oblivious of my RLS (mostly because I do get out of bed when it gets going). ...

Re: Opiods

I think I have tried and failed every drug approved (off label) in the US. Including iron infusion. Percocet is the only thing that has worked without side effects. But because I am closing in on 20mg/day, my doc wants to try something else. She told me she only has a couple patients who need that m...

Re: Opiods

Ann, do you mind sharing how much you take? I should get my script when I get back to Maryland next Tuesday. My doc is "low and slow" so I am not sure how effective it will be to begin with. Should I need my (quickly dwindling) stash of Percocets to supplement? I also have some (gasp) requ...

Re: Opiods

I have symptoms 24/7 and am looking forward to (possibly!!) having a stretch of continuous relief for 12 hours . I tried extended release oxycodone but had nasty side effects (?? Huh?? I am so weird). The short acting ones have me on a roller coaster of relief ~ building symptoms ~ wait wait wait ~ ...

Re: My pharma diary

Congrats on finding a "cocktail" that works! I think you have a most valid point: we need to be proactive in figuring out what works for us. You are lucky you have doctors who will work with you :-)

Let's keep our fingers crossed that they move quickly on insurance coverage!! And maybe you've discovered a "mini cure" in the mean time!!

Re: Relaxis Pad

The person answering the phone at Relaxis was quite helpful. Insurance should cover the $750 cost by December 2015. The 2 week trial period is at discretion of the distributor, Relaxis can only suggest it. I suggested they give the moderators here on the forum a unit to test...told the customer serv...

Re: Opiods

There is an excellent New Years Resolution! I confess to using the short-cut a lot (look at my feet, that triggers me to remember to keep mind and body in the same place: THE MOMENT). But I have many more tools available to me, I need to use 'em, especially when I start my big med switch in a couple...
