A good massage often does wonders! Glad you were able to get one so soon.

In addition to regular migraines, I get tension headaches that sound a lot like what you experienced - the pain from the shoulders, up the neck, and behind the ears. I use both ice and heat for those.

Wow... it's been a long time since I've updated! Almost a year??? I have not been able to run since Thanksgiving, due to some hip pain. Took some time off (running) to see if it would help, then got too busy, then realized the pain hadn't gotten any better! So I finally went to see the doctor... Run...

Just a bad day rant...

I think this is the worst RLS day I've had in a very long time. It's been a crazy week, which I am sure contributes to it all. Monday night I didn't make it to bed until 3am. Felt so terrible (3 hours later), that I called in "sick" to work on Tuesday. Yesterday I had the usual trouble kee...

Hi Bethf. I've read back a little bit, and noticed your reference to UARS... I will have to read up on that, but wonder if that may be one of the problems that I have. I don't believe that I have what is considered "sleep apnea" because I haven't been told that I "stop breathing"...

Mary Poppins is one of my favorite childrens movies. My daughter is 12 years old now, but we still sing the songs together. (She acts like I'm the goofy one, but she still likes it too.)

I'll agree! Star Trek was the best movie we've seen in a long time. Never been a real Trekkie, but I did watch the old series when I was a kid and loved it. I'm also a "Heros" fan, so seeing "Sylar" as Spock took some getting used to... But I still found the movie to be very exci...

http://magazine.stack.com/Content/Site012/Articles/04_01_2005/Stretching0408j_00000003252.jpg I do these a lot. Kind of feels like it's affecting the whole leg in some way or another. I get into the above position, and then gently and slightly rock right and left. Coming out of the stretch, I strai...

I used to get "quicksand legs" after track practice in high school, and sometimes I still feel it every once in a while for no apparent reason. Would literally feel like my legs were sinking into the concrete, and I was getting shorter and shorter, and it would be harder and harder to stan...

Hello. Just another “report” – it’s been a while since I’ve posted here. I loved the P90X program that I did during the winter. But now that spring is gone, and summer is here I’m back to my running schedule. Actually increasing some mileage from last year. I’ve been struggling with “the blues” sinc...

I look at my daughter and just pray that she will never have this stuff. It has really been a life changing thing for me. And none of it for the good! Same here... My daughter is 11, and already worries me a bit. When she was very young, she complained of "itchy legs" at night when it was...

UGH! My DH thinks I'm a hypochondriac! He has concerns about my (lack of) memory, and mood - verging on depression, etc... But he sees no reason for a sleep study (which my doctor has been wanting for a year, but we can't afford). He says I read too much on the internet and self diagnose too often. ...

I'm not the only one... I know I'm too young for Alzheimer's (at 38... however I've recently learned that my 54 year old aunt has been diagnosed with it), but that was the only explanation my thoughts could come up with as well. My brain just does not seem to work like it used to. My husband teases ...

When I have pain, mine is mostly in my front/upper thighs and hips. But it can happen anywhere - there are people who may not have RLS pain, but the sensation can show up in places other than the legs as well. My pain is like a deep, deep ache. Like when you have a fever with the flu and your whole ...

I keep a log of my symptoms. It started as just a log of my RLS symptoms, and sleep patterns. But it has evolved into a much more inclusive spreadsheet - including all noticeable aches/pains/complaints (I suffer from migraines too). Because the more I read and research, the more things seem to be re...

Oh, I totally know what you mean. Even if they didn't direct nasty comments to you... You just get that feeling, don't you? I don't talk about it. Only here. Not even with my family and friends. Whenever I mention it, I "feel" this attitude - that people think I'm just coming up with an ex...
