Thanks Corrie, I reckon we could follow Dr Bs advice ok. Now had my 4th day of citalopram and nothing really bad has happened so far with regard to rls symptoms. The very slight increase during the day could very well be that I am only taking ropinerole and have dropped the tramadol until the evenin...

Corrie - I hope you start to feel less depressed. Do you regularly take a break from your Requip. Feeling low is horrendous. Have you heard good things about desipramine. Susan - do you find the sertraline SSRI ok with your rls symptoms. Ann - 'tired of being tired' ... says it all. I'm now on my th...

Yes, I get fed up taking meds all the time, and I've just started another one....... However..... the thought of what I'd be like without them does not bear thinking about. And I really mean that. The alternative of being without meds, in particular my rls meds, is not even a consideration.

Hello Tara There are 4 essential criteria that are all necessary for diagnosis of rls: 1) A need to move the legs, usually accompanied or caused by uncomfortable, unpleasant sensations in the legs. Any kind of sensation may be a manifestation of RLS and a wide variety of descriptions have been used ...

Thanks Corrie, I haven't heard of Reboxetine. I sent an email to Dr B and he responded to say that the Citalopram at 10mg is probably ok with my present dose of tramadol. i.e. no history of epilepsy etc. But that desipramine might be a better option. But also I would imagine that the Citalopram 10mg...

Thanks Susan and Zach.

I will google serotonin syndrome and will discuss hydrocodone on my next visit.

Zach, that was a lot of tramadol.

Thank you Zach.
I looked up Luvox (Flovoxamine Maleate), it says 'this is a serotonin uptake inhibitor which is chemically different than the antidepressants above' (i.e. the SSRIs)
Out of interest, how much tramadol would you have been taking daily/as a dose, at that time?

This morning I saw my GP who was very understanding and indeed felt that I needed an antridepressant. I had printed out and taken with me the portion from the Southern California (rlshelp.org) web page with regard to antidepressants. She read this with interest but had to state that Wellbrutin is no...
