Hey, Lynne! Good to "see" you.

To Mr Gardner - my apologies that your account doesn't work anymore. If you send me your screen/sign-in name, I can look and see if it still exists. If not, please re-create it so you can post (if you would like to).

There's lot of info on it around the board. Not sure what country you are in - it's often called Sinemet here in the US. Could go by other names, too. (Josh, any ideas?) Please check out the New to RLS section and find the "sticky" on managing RLS. It has a link to the Mayo Clinic's algorithm in it....

I think I'm with Josh - not permanently, of course - but a week of no sleep? If it's all in our heads, and if only we turned to God (as if no one here ever thought of those things). . .well, they can have it be in their heads and try turning to God and see what happens. In a week, they can be free t...

Since the first articles about "disease mongering" were written a few months ago, I continually get alerts about new ones. Writing to the authors of the original study doesn't seem to have gotten us much, so I've started responding to all articles I see that discuss this. I am inserting my standard ...

Yeah! And why didn't they choose it???? (chuckling while I type) I really did think it exceedingly clever. Oh, well. I guess I'll have to write my own book if I want to use that title.

Josh, that's a great example of how one thing works really well for one person. My guess is that gabapentin is better in combo for most people whom it helps, but I think some people use it only and it works well. I'm not sure the algorithm is the "best" way to manage RLS (that doesn't exisit yet!), ...

Some people do get relief by sleeping in strange positions. For years, I could go to sleep if I laid in "just" the right way and as soon as it started. If I didn't fall asleep immediately, I was toast! Check out the New to RLS sticky on managing RLS. You should find some great info in there. After y...

Hey Skip, Sorry you had to find us here. Am I reading between the lines that they RLS has worsened in instensity and frequency? You might want to check out the posts on augmentation and see if that fits your situation - it's when the medication makes the RLS worse. Mirapex did this to me, and I deve...

Yes. . .they did not take my suggestion, "Sleeping with the Enemy" and ended up with the utterly bland and boring name instead  .

I was hoping I just missed that part of it. Sooooo, I just did a little Googling and found the following that might help you. m m m m I have done elimination diets in the past. But, not chemical. Other people have reported diet to be very helpful in controlling their RLS, so this does work for some ...

You know, it might work GREAT for you! None of us know until we try. Sure, it might not. I tried it and the side effects (for me) turned out to be more than any small benefit I received. But, it might have been otherwise. It seems to work best for those with pain - makes sense. So, if anyone had pai...
