We reckon that with the storm, and a few leaves gathered in the nearby guttering, that maybe the wind blew lying water up under the tiles and it found its way through. We have also been there with the singing toilet following a flush. About a year ago. We found that a slight tap with a hammer on one of the pipes at the hot water boiler resolved it.

I've no idea how we discovered that !!

In Scotland probably the furthest you could be from the beach would be 90 minutes. Here in Northern Ireland the furthest would likely be 1 hour. I am 15 minutes drive, but as a child grew up 5 minutes walk from the beach.
