RLSSeattle meant to post this here - the software doesn't let me add a topic to another topic, so I just copied it here. I still feel like a broker record on this, and am getting worse as more of us seem to be turning to narcotic for control of symptoms and pain. I had long-term RLS with increasing...

Jan, it's in my favorites directly for this page, not their home page - I don't have to make a choice - does that make sense? Since you've had a few other problems, it might be worth some quick scans - delete your cookies, delete your cache, etc. See if it helps any. You may have done that already, ...

Hi there, I have increased my methadone dose 3 times I think, in about 13 months. Started at 10 mg. Within 2 months or so, I went to 12.5. In about 4 months or so, I went to 13.75. Then in another 5 months, I went to 15 mg. This is now an "average" dose for RLS. The high is something like 25 or so m...

Jan - are you out there? I hope I didn't overstep my bounds, but since you are in a rough place, I took the bull by the horns and emailed Dr Mark for you. He told me he would respond to you immediately should you email him. I will send you the whole email if you want, but I basically explained your ...

Jannie, you are in hell and in an altered state - everything you think will be different when you get out of hell. I am laughing out loud at the thought I was strong. I was like a baby!!!!! A big, fat, wailing baby! I really thought I would rather be dead. I tried twice and couldn't do it. It was AW...

That is excellent news, Em. When you get a chance, please post her name and where she practices. It may be helpful for the next person who comes and is in that area. I truly hope it helps. What a trial you went through to get here, but at least you know what it is and have some options. Fingers are ...

Wouldn't it be nice to read a different story about doctor's visits? That they listened and said, "Yes, we must do something different." That they knew the research rather than you taking it to them? Alas, is isn't so. I'm sorry that is was not so for you, Jumpy. I can help you with the Mirapex. In ...

Oh, what an awful experience! It's horrible to have to wait for that phone call when you are so scared. I can completely empathize with being angry, scared, and uncertain about the future. I've had my share of a difficult Mirapex experience, so I'll share what I know and hope some of it can help you...

Other sudden causes are accidents, surgery, and many things that cause secondary RLS. If you already have it and get one of these, it can really worse your RLS. Here's a post with as many of the possible causes I could find. . .there sure are a lot of them. Maybe as you read through it, something wi...

Sadly, this is just going into Phase III testing. It will need a bit more testing - this can take at least 2 to 5 years, I would think. It takes longer to approve drugs that are experimental than those already used for other things. I think this is an experiemental drug, not already in use, but I'm ...

I hope the hotel is at least in a fun place! Per the plane rides, yeesh, we all HATE them. Horrid stuff. Before my RLS was severe, I thought one time to take a red-eye from California to Chicago. We left at midnight, arrived in Chicago at 5 AM. I spent the entire flight pacing up and down the darken...
