Re: Hellish night due to not taking my ropinerol

Hi ALL--- I recently tried to get an appointment with my Neurologist to consult. My augmentation is at a point where I KNOW it has to be time to GET OFF THIS ROPINIROLE. I can only get several hours of sleep after going to bed and then I'm up walking around. They say it's called Rebound when your me...

Re: Requip & Erectile Dysfunction ???

To rvjimzhe1--- I've forgotten, but do you take Gabapentin? The warning on the drug said "NO alcohol"... I guess it might lower your respiration beyond the "just sleepy" effect it provides. (I take Gabapentin and wouldn't dare drink).... Perhaps quite a few of our drugs have warn...

To ALL of you--- Rustsmith, ViewsAskew, Polar Bear, leggo_my_legs--- Trying to cope, getting NOWHERE, having people (or cats!) giving you problems are so difficult when we're under stress! Rustsmith, that sounds like a Siamese cat, like mine, actually... very demanding! When my parents were in faili...

Re: Hello from TeriShelly

Hi TeriShelly....

Have wondered how things are going now? Did you find another Doctor--- someone good, someone willing to listen to you? Have you now been given Gabapentin to try & what do you think of how your system "likes" it (or NOT)?

Jim--- Though I'm a woman, I would tend to think sex wouldn't bring on bad RLS... but not sure. Have been divorced for 8 years but sex wasn't in the pictue for a few years prior to the divorce--- nor have I been looking for a man/companion, just want to be alone now. I wondered about HOW you can tol...

Re: Requip & Erectile Dysfunction ???

to rvjimzhr1--- I haven't come to the Board Discussions for several days since things were fairly OK with my rls. But I can't seem to sleep tonight and got up --- thought I might see what's new in the "Requip & Erectile Dysfunction???" area. WOW, nothing about the latter BUT quite a bi...

Re: Supplemental Iron

Rustsmith--- In reading your thorough description of the types of iron (Feb. 25 at 2:37 PM), I wondered about something... namely: I take an acid reducer (Omeprazole, 20 mg delayed release tablets) and the Pharmacist told me to take it in the AM because I was concerned about whether it would prevent...

badnights---

That's why all of these comments about medications are so fascinating! You can be SURE
of ONE thing : any slight suicidal feeling would have me OFF of the medicine right away!

Re: Does anyone successfully use ONLY an anti-convulsant?

badnights--- It is so fascinating to read how medications affect different people in such a VARIETY of ways. I take 400mg Gabapentin every night and it helps me feel sleepy/relaxed for the night; I have not had ANY depression from taking it. I've never taken Pregabalen--- so can't say what it would ...

Re: ferratin

Thank you to both ViewsAskew and Rustsmith for yesterday's comments Re. researchers who have RLS, and how living with someone that has a neurological condition "elevates" one's understanding of what it's like. Really GREAT that Dr. Rye is a researcher who DOES know what RLS is like! Good a...

Re: ferratin

peanut1--- I read the study and it sounds wonderful as far as treating PTSD and I think that if some researchers could be encouraged somehow to work on how to find a way to help those with RLS, it would be fabulous! Not to sound "negative" about it, but it might be very easy for researcher...

legsbestill--- Well, after all the cats that I've had (over 31 years) I can say that they certainly can DIFFER in personality. My "Angel" can do a bit of "biting" but not to break the skin, and his tail will whap-whap when he's not happy to be petted! Go figure!? He is very CLING...

VeganGal---
WOW--- Are those the kind of weights that are sold to walkers who "power-walk" and
strap the weights on their ankles? What a novel idea to wear them in bed!

Yawny---
Well, I ALSO didn't know that there are several kinds of Magnesium, and I bought Mag. Chloride yesterday (slow release)--- so will see if that makes me see a difference in anything... whether in my constipation OR my RLS..

2BassetMom and Rustsmith--- I know what it's like to be anchored down by a cat sleeping in your lap. My ID here is "SLEEPY ANGEL" because my Siamese is named Angel--- and when I'm up and walking around because of RLS, there's my Angel walking WITH me--- and he looks oh so SLEEPY! He wishes...
