Re: another one that doesn't work... :-(

Do you use a CPAP machine ? That would help with the breathing. Also, I don't like Tramadol, but I can take Oxycodone (no Tylenol in it) and Methadone. Good luck.

Re: RLS or Separate Condition?

I was wondering why you are on the antidepressant. It didn't sound like to me that you are depressed. Most antidepressants make WED worse. If you do stop that, you might have to wean off, or at least see how the doctor would want you to stop it. With the Mirapex, most people start with 0.125mg early...

Re: Having Hip Surgery

I figured out why I was up all night, the night before. I had some chocolate cake the other day. Last night I slept all night, with a bathroom break. Went to sleep around 9 pm. Got up at 8:30 this morning. The only other thing that was different, I took more Methadone. From now on, no more chocolate...

Re: Having Hip Surgery

I'm back home. I am feeling better even though I haven't slept. (less emotional) I never slept last night, really, except for about 20 minutes. Saw the doctor. I have no cartilage left and it is bone on bone, with some bone damage. They had a cancellation, so I am now scheduled to have a total hip r...

Having Hip Surgery

It's 1 am and I'm supposed to get up at 4 am this morning so we can leave for my doctor appt. today. My appt. is a 8 am today with an orthopedic doctor. You see, we live 2 hours from the doctor. So we have to leave early to get there. I haven't been able to go to sleep yet because of my WED/PLMD. I'...

Re: Roller Coaster Ride

That is a strong possibility. I don't know. Maybe just having an oxygen machine for you would help.

Re: Remission?

Yes. When you started your adventure, that was when I decided to do it after I read your whole thing with that doctor. It made sense to me. I had a hard time deciding whether I was augmenting or not. It had not gotten severe as my first augmentation. Right now I'm only sleeping on average 2 hours at...

I think you are doing fine with the Methadone, especially with spacing it all out. Yes, you just can't cold turkey Lyrica or Gabapentin.

Re: More on stopping Mirapex (sorry....)

It is very difficult not to gain weight on these drugs. They make you want to eat more and you don't feel full. We probably have all gained weight.

Re: 2 Ways to get a Better Sleep Despite Having RLS

there s no need to talk of things you have no knowledge--and as you are obviously not the Dr. of the folks on here you know nothing about their health, therefore, you're comments are offensive and unwarranted. If you have trouble with someone critiquing of your science --I'd ask you keep your comme...

Re: Neupro Patch

I saw my PCP today and got the script for the patch. I won't be starting it for awhile. I want to get over my hips surgery first and get home from the hospital and rehab. I also told her that if I start to gain more weight that I will stop it. She agreed. I have the feeling that it will since three ...

Re: Dependency? Be Afraid, Very Afraid

I've read some of your posts today. You sound like you are feeling a little better. It's been three weeks since I stopped Mirapex and I am finding that one day/night is good/ok and the next day can be awful/bad. With that said, since I am having some good days I'm not feeling discouraged. For the mo...
