Re: Tolerance issues in general

I keep telling myself there's no such thing as curses. But everytime i think i figured this thing out.. only to discover a few weeks later that i really don't have anything figured out. My mind keeps going back to thinking about curses and such. Seriously tho.I think this is more serious of an issue...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

I just was thinking...maybe Tramadol and Lyrica are really a good combination. If Lyrica helps with any seizure issues from Tramadol. And Tramadol helps with any depression issues from Lyrica. Sounds like they are made for each other. I have been taking Tramadol for years with no issues. So I'm not ...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

I will most likely not even mention giving up Hydrocodone. The nice thing about that it is fast acting and powerful enough to take away symptoms even after they are full blown. Perfect for when driving or when you happen to wake up in the middle of the night. But i may bring up replacing tramadol wi...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

Thanks for all the info. I'm going to look into that Dihydrocodeine. If it gets into my system as fast as Hydrocodone then it may work as a replacement for both of my opioids. And if the Morphine equivalent is that low...my Dr just might go along with that. I totally understand about the THC. It aff...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

A few months ago my Dr jumped on the opioid hysteria bandwagon any took away all opioids from me. He talked said he was taking as many people off opioids and putting them on Lyrica or Gabapentin as he could. So i had to give them a shot. I have never took Hydocodone on a daily basis. Just Tramadol a...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

Thanks for the reply. I am going to try increasing my lyrica dose tonight. I thought taking both together was working well. But i quickly built up a tolerance to it. Took forever to get to sleep last night and then i woke up with symptoms a few hours later and had to take hydrocodone. I guess that t...

Re: Medication causing Apathy?

Tramadol by itself had never controlled my symptoms well enough to be able to go to sleep. But it does work fine for early symptoms by itself and taken with a other meds helps get me thru the night. I have been taking it for years and it has remained effective for me without too many issues. I do ha...

Re: Medication causing Apathy?

Good luck with the tramadol. I've never needed the ER version but its been a part of my nighttime cocktail for years. I've never had any problems with side affects or tolerance with it. I have recently found out not to take Kratom anytime close to taking tramadol however. It seems they cancel each o...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

Ok...worked 2 nights in a row. I read somewhere that gabapentin helped more with sleep issues than Lyrica. Only problem is if i take enough gabapentin by itself to actually help then I don't like how i feel at all. More so than Lyrica. (Which i don't care for either) Combining the two seems to work ...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

I've been taking ropinirole for a long time at a bigger dose than i'm taking now. The dreams are only occasional and i can live with that. I just don't like how it makes me feel in general. It's kinda hard to put a finger on it. I just don't feel like myself anytime. I mixed things up a little last ...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

I have been getting pretty good symptom relief lately using Tramadol with a low dose of Ropinirole and Lyrica. I have Hydrocodone on hand for the times that i need more. When i first started Lyrica it really helped me get to sleep quickly. Side affects were..weird dreams and having trouble waking up...

Re: Methadone and Gabapentin no longer working well

There are nights when i just am going to have problems sitting and resting no matter what i do or take. It's all about getting a good restful sleep the night before. Any less than 7 hours and i can really tell the next day and night. 8 or 9 hours is best. I do whatever it takes to get sleep. Excerci...

Re: Methadone and Gabapentin no longer working well

I totally understand your fear of augmentation. I never want to go thru that again. It was the only time that it got so bad that walking wouldn't stop it. Does gabapentin work for you? It did nothing for me..except to make me feel weird. Lyrica helps a little. But just a little.Thank god for insuran...
