Hi Jim, I'm so sorry you are having such a tough time. Please do as Zach says and take the Mayo clinic algorithm to your doc. I also have rls 24/7 but thankfully get some relief with requip and ultram. My relief is not 100% but when I read your posts I realise that I am doing not too badly. You real...

As I understand it OTC cough medicines are a no-no, especially Benilyn (sp??) There is probably a list somewhere on this forum. However, I think that on www.rlshelp.org they give a list of meds to be avoided on the Medical Alert Card. I think its to do with the antihistamines in the OTC stuff.

Welcome Nightowl. I totally understand your feelings of desperation. I also have suffered symtpoms for over 30 years, and have been on medication for 3 years. Fortunately now my meds help so much, a cocktail of ropinerole and tramadol. With regard to your nausea on the 2mg ropinerole I wondered if s...

I used the daily strength site about a year ago, for a very very short time, not sure what the reason but I didn't like it, possibly cos I was already 'at home' here. :D

How long have you suffered the symptoms, and have you seen your doc yet with regard to the symptoms. The Mayo Clinic Algorithm is good to show your doc, and in the meantime before bed, spraying the cold water from the shower head can sometimes relieve things for a short time. Sorry you are suffering...

Yes DP, I have been on requip for about 3 years and I have days where it is worse than others, and even with meds which usually mostly work, most of the time, I get days where there is something like a low grade 'buzzing' going on in the background. I am inclined to make the mistake also, that if I ...

I explained it to my husband using his horror of anyone touching his feet!! He just cannot bear it. So I said, just imagine your feet are secured, you cannot move them no matter what you do, and someone is touching/brushing your feet for hours at a time, every day of your life, and there is absolute...

Hello DP I am glad you found us, and can totally relate to what you say. Angry Legs is a good description. It is difficult to have someone understand what it means when you try to explain, feeling exhausted, tired, aching all over and just needing to get some sleep/rest, but you just gotta walk, kee...
