CVS, no insurance. 40mg tabs, 60 tabs per mo. I guess I should shop around, huh? I have my pain specialist applying for the Perdue Paitent Assistance Program, but that probably won't cover the next script, due thursday. If you have any ideas, Zach, get back to me. I'm unemployed, uninsured and have ...

This is an awesome thread! You all could be pharmacists... This conundrum of "you're needing more meds because you're a drug seeker" vs. "you're needing more meds because you're miserable" has always made me nuts. If you talk to a true pain specialist-- they understand the diffe...

Hey all, it's been a while since I posted. I had severe leg pain with Mirapex, but didn't associate it with it until I got off of it. The pain came back when I started Neupro. I stopped Neupro over 8? months ago, and the pain is still here. I'm on Oxycontin 24/7 now. It used to help with the pain at...

Betty, I would suggest you try Neupro. Since you have 24/7 symptoms, it may be of help. I am on it, and don't have any of the creepies at all, but this is my 5th DA, and is causing me problems and I want off of DA's for a while.
I wish you the best of luck!

I have set up a 24/7 chat room that you can park in all day

It infoves using a program called mIRC. It's like a very stripped down AIM or Yahoo! IM. Here are directions to get to it: How to set up mIRC to chat in the RLS_Chat. Go here and download the Program: m Install it, and keep clicking next through all the things it wants to install. Nothing is dangero...

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I picked up my medical records from my PCP today. There was no mention of the repeated requests to see a specialist, but did say that my attitude toward wanting oxycodone (because so far that is what has worked for me) was cavalier. At the time I told him I did...

I was sent to Duke University due to the fact that the local hospital, my PCP and sleep specialist have ruled out all DA's for me. After Mirapex sent me to the hospital with a really bad reaction, they finally listened. At Duke, I was sent to the wrong department after waiting a month and a half, lo...

jan3213, I don't know you very well, but I am sorry to see you resigning as a moderator. I do agree that the board seems focused on drug therapy. I know that I personally have been concentrating on drug therapy. I've tried many things over the years, and the conventional drugs that are used to treat...

I was thinking along the same lines. My wife keeps telling me to check out a site called something like 'RateYourDoctor.com' I haven't had the chance to check it out yet.
I'm in.

New information: Dr. Radtke from Duke emailed me back and informed me that I was sent to the outpatient clinic, and not his department. He mentioned that he would be willing to see me, but given the nature of my last email (It was not the real me writing it, and I have stopped the Neupro) that he wo...

I will be going in person without an appointment to my sleep specialist for answers as to why this happened. Zach, I don't have the money to see Dr. B, but I did email him just now. Mark, so far, the Neupro is giving me a headache, the sweats, irritability, and increased use of foul language. It doe...

Welcome to the forum. The first thing I would do is spend as much time as you can on the 'Stickies' at the top of every thread. There are many things you can do to help reduce symptoms until you see a MD. Bring to your doctor the "Mayo Clinic Algorithm for the treatment of RLS" it is in the stickies...
