Hi Melanie, You are in a tough spot, aren't you. Any woman with severe RLS and the desire for children has a very hard decision to make. I wish I had a magic wand to give to you, but I don't. You do have some options, but your doctor may not agree. Have you read any of the posts in the Special Popul...

KP, That's a tough situation. I know I couldn't make it through any educational program, let alone med school with uncontrolled RLS. KP, sounds like you have a little ambivalence over the symptoms. RLS can be painful. It can be in virtually every body part. However, it can also co-exist with other p...

Welcome to those who have just found us. I hope you do indeed find the support you need. Kmm, hot baths do work for some. One lady does a hot bath followed by an icy cold spray. She swears by it! There are some suggestions here are there on the board. In the New to RLS section there are two sticky p...

Weird about the magnet thing! I've never been around any, so I can't offer any feedback. Yuck, UTIs and the flu. Miserable. I keep getting a flu shot even though I haven't had the flu in 30 years. Each year I wonder why. I guess listening to someone else who has it is enough of a reason. Two weeks! ...

Here's my weekly post on CD for any newcomers that have missed my exhortations to get tested. The following is a quote from a woman with CD. "I was finally diagnosed with CD two years ago. My only symptoms were extreme fatigue, just walking caused my heart to pound loudly and I couldn't get my breat...

Considering that up to 30% of pregnancies include RLS, it must not have too many side effects regarding the baby! You'd think it would, wouldn't you? My mom and two uncles were products of my grandmother who had the worst RLS possible during pregnancy. They seem OK . Jamie, one of our regulars, had ...

Oooo, I hate when that happens! I had a nice long post, and hit some weird combo of keys and POOF! It's gone. So, I'll try to keep it shorter this time . CD can be misdiagnosed as IBS. So, considering you have both RLS and IBS, it's worth a test. The tests you need are in another post in the General...

You've got a lot of supporters, so you should do it! Not sure if you want to do it in this thread or start a new one. Your choice.

Musiclover, many people really like Requip. They just aren't posting on these boards! Truly, most of the people who come here are having problems, post about those problems, and so that's what we hear. In the research trials, it works for 80% approximately. So, that's pretty high. The 20% are washed...

Em, it sounds like you inadvertantly put a lot of pressure on yourself, or on this treatment. It also sounds like you want this so very much. That in itself makes it a lot worse, doesn't it? To want something so intensely and have it not work out. It still may be some of those things for some people...

"And now, my beauties... something with poison in it, I think. With poison in it, but attractive to the eye— and soothing to the smell! Poppies! Poppies! Poppies will put them to sleep. Now they'll sleep." OK, we still need: Professor Marvel and The Great Oz (and at least three other roles like the ...

I am so sorry that the recliner is your evening home away from home. It takes such a toll on usand our relationships to be away from those we love. When we need intimacy the most, we're the most separate. Wish my magic wand would work. Oh, right, you have to have one first. And, then, it has to work...

You are a sweetheart, Hazel. I'm not quite sure I can sing with that much vibratto, though, . And I will definitely have to go shopping for a new dress . Oh, then there is the fitting into the dress part. . . Maybe we can do a new version of the show where some of the people are a little rounder Rub...
