Re: Diet

I used to exercise for most of my life. Then as I approached 50, things began to change. I had been walking 3 miles a day. My osteoarthritis started getting bad. I started having joint replacements. I now have had 6 replacements, plus a back infusion. After losing this 20 pounds, I'm now back to whe...

Re: Diet

Since losing this weight, I have not had any RLS. It's been 2.5 weeks since my last RLS episode and I really can't believe it. It's got to be that the weight is not pulling on my back. My RLS stems from my pinched nerves in my back. I just find this very interesting. In the past, I always thought th...

Re: I'm here to help my mom with her RLS. Please help

I'm sorry to hear what both of you are going through. She probably needs an opioid. In some states they are getting harder to get. Oxycodone can help, but it's not always the best choice. Then there are others not as strong, like codeine and tramadol. Some people here take those. I used to take meth...

Re: Diet

I have recently lost weight. 20 pounds. I have to say, that my sleep has been improving. RLS is under control. I feel so much better. I have always struggled to lose weight. This time I'm on a low salt diet because I was retaining fluid. I was started on a diuretic. Consequently I'm eating a lot of ...

Re: Oxycodone dose, Sinemet questions

Is it possible you are augmenting from the pramipexole ? How long have you been taking it ? Augmenting feels like your RLS is getting worse. I would not add Sinemet if you are starting to augment. It would make it worse. I can only take oxy for a few days and it no longer helps. I took methadone for...

Top of foot pain and RLS

Has anyone every had the top of your foot hurt. Or even throb and then your RLS starts? That's been happening to me lately. It's mild RLS and goes away soon.

Re: What Comes After Methadone?

I get back steriod injections every 3 months, which really helps me. They usually last about 6 weeks before I'm allowed to another one, and my RLS becomes worse. I was noticing this time, it's not the case. I'm only having occasional and light RLS, which goes away after getting up for a few min. The...

Re: What do you do?

When my legs are bad, I usually pace, but I've also ridden my recumbent bike. One last thing, gotten in the tub of hot water. I've even slept in the tub. I braced my feet at the end of the tub. I no longer have a tub, but it did help at the time.

Re: new to gabapentin

I've been taking it for years, 1800 mg. It helps me. Not the all cure all. I take buprenorphine too.
Good luck

Re: surgery affecting RLS?

Every time I have had surgery, knees, hips, and back, my RLS increased. It takes a few weeks to go back to where you were.

That's what I have, the generic buprenorphine films. No problem getting it.

Re: What Comes After Methadone?

I get the films for buprenorphine. I didn't have any troubles getting it. That way I can cut it easily.
