Re: Wahls diet for WED? Trying it.

No. After I stopped the sublingual buprenorphine, the pain specialist put me on codeine without Tylenol. It was too low of a dose to do much good. I then started alprazolam with the codiene, which helped my jerking. But I still felt tired during the day. After a period of time, I just couldn't go wi...

Re: Wahls diet for WED? Trying it.

Going Keto only helped me for about four months in 2014 I think. It seems like it has helped you longer. But I took no medications during that time. The only thing I can say that might help a little is to fast. Drink water only for a day. This has helped me during some of my worst times. But unfortu...

Re: IRLS Study group and iron IVs

You might try doing this with a hematologist. Hematologists do this kind of procedure more frequently than neurologists. Your doctor may just be uncomfortable about doing a procedure that he/she is unfamiliar with. You might see if you can find a hematologist who can help you.

Re: Suboxone questions

I tried cutting my film in half diagonally. That seems to be the easiest and most accurate way for me. I rarely, if ever, read the instructions that came with a medication before. I probably should have read them more. But with films, it is a whole different paradigm -- you definitely need to read t...

I tried this too. It seemed to help for a while and then it didn't. Possibly a placebo effect.

Re: Suboxone questions

I haven't switched from suboxone to belbuca. But I did recently start taking belbuca from a doctor who really knows about RLS. Prior to that I was seeing a pain management doctor and I was essentially just showing them the RLS foundation drug list and we would guess as to what I should take. I am we...

Re: Suicidal thoughts

I had checked my original comment and saw no additional ones so I quit checking for a while. Thanks for all of your advice and expressions of support. DebBluebird, I am so sorry to hear of your situation. I have found that some of my worst times were when I was taking Lyrica, or Neurontin. Dr. B sai...

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Somethimes it seems like RLS is an opponent in a chess match. And you make a move that helps you out; then the RLS makes a move that messes you up again. I just saw Dr. B today for the first time and I am very optimistic. I suggest you ask Ann about him. Steve

Suicidal thoughts

I listened with great interest to the recorded webinar on Opioids and RLS today. One of the things I found especially interesting was his survey on how people, who I believe have gone through augmentation, were helped by opioids to have a reduction in suicidal thoughts. I think his measure was the n...

Re: Vibration helped me through the drug holiday

This is what I use the power plate for. A couple of years ago I took a drug holiday for a month because I was taking Mirapex for the second time; the second time I was also taking hydromorphone. I still use it while taking my medications because they don't completely do the job. Unfortunately, my co...

Re: desiccated liver powder

Sorry, it recommends a glass or stainless steel container. I had to order a stainless steel bucket off of the internet because I didn't have anything that was big enough. I am not sure why plastic is not good enough. But I decided since I paid about $70 for this stuff I should follow their instructi...
