Re: Medical Marijuana

Good morning! Indica is the variety I'm taking. The process of switching over, getting completely off of Mirapex, which I'd been taking since 2011, took about 3 weeks, gradually cutting down from 3 Mirapex a day, to 2, then 1, then zero, and during that time, especially the first 3 nights/days of ze...

Re: Medical Marijuana

I agree, views askew, the price is very reasonable. We are fortunate here, it has been legal since 1998. I told my husband that I wished I'd done this a long time ago, but I didn't realize until last summer that it could be used to treat things like RLS, or that it came in a formulation that left yo...

Re: Medical Marijuana

Thank you, Polar Bear. I doubt my insurance will cover the CBD any time soon, but I don't really mind paying $40 for a 90-day supply. I don't plan to request any refills of the Marinol, since this is so much more effective. No more pills. I feel like a giant weight has been lifted off of me, which m...

Medical Marijuana

After trying Marinol a few months ago, I decided to go ahead and get my medical marijuana card. I first contacted a designated medical marijuana clinic in our state, and then had my medical records sent to them from my doctor's office. Once they received my records and determined that my documented ...

Re: Marinol or Medical Marijuana

Yes, I agree. It is legal where I live, but I have absolutely no desire to get high every time my symptoms occur, so the synthetic version, Marinol (generic dronabinol), is preferable for me. It is a Tier 1 medication, included in my drug formulary list with no restrictions, but my insurance company...

Re: Marinol or Medical Marijuana

Thanks for your response. When I took Marinol I didn't experience any mental effects at all. It was like I hadn't taken anything. That's what I liked about it. The dosage was 2.5 mg. When I was in college in the late 60s an early 70s everyone I knew smoked marijuana, even my parents. It was always f...

Yes, aluminum was listed as an inactive ingredient on the multi-vitamins. As for the toothpaste tube, my thinking there is similar to canned food. I decided not to put anything in my mouth that comes in a metal container. I was unable to find out what metals are in specific containers, only that som...

update regarding a specific cause of RLS symptoms

This is an update to a post I made in early January. I want to share my experience because I truly believe it may help some of you who are suffering. I’ve suffered from RLS for at least 20 years. My symptoms over the last couple of years had been quite severe. I would even describe them as violent a...

I had very good results for about a year using this particular wellness oil from this same company. They sent me a free sample, which lasted for nearly 6 months, and my symptoms were immediately gone. I don't think it is a "cure" but rather a means to alleviate symptoms, and they tell you ...

I actually had very good results using an essential oil from another company. They sent me a free sample, and I got relief the very first time I used it. That free sample lasted for 6 months. When I purchased a bottle for $14.95, it did not work, but I contacted them and they immediately sent me a n...

aluminum connection to RLS

I recently found relief from my RLS symptoms when I eliminated aluminum. I discovered when I had a recent stomach ailment, and was taking Mylanta, that my rls symptoms became very severe. I read the ingredient label and saw that Mylanta was made from aluminum. I immediately stopped taking it, I also...
